“Quality/Quantity - I was not going to write a Yelp on them, but this is my second visit in a month and both times have been a 5 star experience. Previous visits were negative (years ago).Our favorite branch is SF Geary with Katrina the branch manager. She is amazing; one of the two best employees of the company in my opinion!! Too bad that location is closing or has closed.Kieth was good, took care of all my needs in a very timely fashion.The security guard was even better; she greeted me in the parking lot, walked over to open the door for me, and went out of her way to say goodbye when I was leaving.Oh well, no coffee or fresh baked cookies today? Kieth said the cookies got burned...My previous recent visit was just as positive; sorry I did not get names.But the security guard, an older gentleman, also went out of his way to open the door for me. Atmosphere - Good size branch. Small size parking. But plenty of metered street parking.Service - See above, your team has improved so much at this location. I look forward to coming here more often.Price - N/A. Well, I might be coming back for some foreign exchange currencies for my next travels.Owner Suggestion - Congrats on your success since 1985 with 84 locations, S&P 500, and Russell 1000.2007 - Merrill Lynch acquired.2008 - Bank of America acquired.2010 - Private equity acquired.2010+ - More confusing acquisitions, above my pay grade to explain, please Google if interested.2023 - Chase/JP Morgan bought your assets and will be converting many of your locations.”

“Wow! So my particular tax situation was a bit crazy and unique this year. I had multiple 1099s, W-2s, super weird tax forms I've never heard of before, issues with insurance, multiple states were involved, etc, etc, etc. To say the least, it was a mess. I knew that I was going to need some extra help this tax season -- but I couldn't just hire some schlub from H & R Block or Liberty (no offense). I needed the MacGyver of tax pros. Someone with true grit. That person is Elaine. She answered all of my questions and concerns in great detail. It was nice to feel confident filing taxes for once. She solved every problem with care and ease and would always go the extra mile. I was actually surprised by how smooth and painless the whole process was. Dealing with the IRS can be a bit nerve-wracking but I knew I was in good hands with Elaine and the wonderful staff at ATS on my side. Shirley helped out towards the end. She was as equally personable and professional as Elaine. I would definitely recommend her too. Judging from the other reviews it sounds like she's already a pretty well-established and revered tax pro. Alameda Tax Services is a breath of fresh air. We live in a world where local businesses are dying, especially in the Bay Area. These people are great at what they do and they don't charge an arm and leg for their expert services. Aside from their expert services they're absolutely delightful people to be around. Just sayin' maybe check out ATS next tax season. Never thought I'd look forward to filing taxes... tl;dr Alameda Tax Services is Awesome!”

“I applied for a Merrill Edge stock trading account 2 years ago. I was hesistant at first because of some unfavorable reviews. Instead I have not experienced any problems at all with my stock trading. No problems with the mobile app either. A relatively low account balance earns you 100 free trades per month. No other broker offers that. The Merrill Edge desktop website is fast, highly legible and everything is easy to find whereas TD Ameritrade's desktop website is slow, cluttered and important information is buried deeply, plus you pay $6.95 for all that misery. I will admit TD's mobile app is the best in the business in terms of legibility.”
