As a president club member, I’m used to a certain standard/treatment. They are ALWAYS adding random charges.
A few examples:
1. President club members get an addition 4 hour grace period to return the car. I was charged for 2 extra hours
2. I picked up my car from its reserved spot. On the way out, the check out guy mentioned the car was dirty on the outside. I missed it when getting in the car but of course since he saw it, he’ll relay the message. NOPE. They charged me $100 to clean it after drop off the next day.
Disclaimer: each time, corporation refunded me after calling. BUT I shouldn’t have to call corporate after every rental.
TDLR: This location has a lot of random fees BUT if you call corporate they will fix it.

This place absolutely sucks. The customer service is absolutely terrible. First they told me I can't rent with a debit card even though I literally rented a car here with a debit card for a month and just returned it last week. Then they tried charging me double of what I booked it for. Then when I finally got my rental on my way out they completely messed up the paperwork at the front desk. I was in the correct vehicle and had to wait another half hour. This isn't the first time I've had an awful experience with Hertz. They are literally the scum of all rental car companies. I hate this place and should have learned my lesson the first time. Also they charged a lady in front of me $700 to get credit card and she didn't get the car. Not sure what the issue was but this place is horrible.

Unfortunately I had to come back to this place due to being in a hurry to return my car and not have to deal with this horrible rental company and forgetting my apartment key fob on the cars keychain. I tried calling and again no answer. They couldn't find my key fob which I'm not blaming them but if I worked at a rental place I would go out of my way to get a key fob back to the owner. But with hertz extremely poor or lack of customer service skills I was expecting the worst.

No, you are not sorry and this location is absolutely not trying to improve. Nothing you say or do will change my mind about this horrible place. Their response shows about how good they are at customer service. It's a fake response, it's unfortunate they are allowed to operate at an airport because they will always have customers. Although the other hertz I tried in the past that wasn't at an airport was pretty bad as well. Just not as bad as the OAKLAND AIRPORT CAR RENTAL CENTER - HERTZ. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!

As a Hertz Gold Member picking up my rental is so easy you see your name what section to go to and just pick the car you want and leave . Love how easy it is.

I came to pick up my rental car today. The woman at the check in was talking to a man before me with smile but when it was my turn, she changed her face into being mad at me and when i said “Hello” she didnt even respond to me and was rude to me. Then i had a problem with my credit card and told her i will fix and come back and she said ok. Then i couldnt fix it after talking to my bank and wanted to cancel it on Priceline, but it said the rental was already canceled. She canceled the rental and i couldnt get my refund back. I hope she will get fired asap for being rude to tourists like me.

I love Hertz because of gold membership. The people at this location are the rudest most unprofessional group of employees I’ve ever met. Asked a simple question, couldn’t have cared less to help.

I must say it's a new day at Hertz I have not used them for awhile (years) but things have definitely gotten much better there. Efficient, cars in excellent condition, selection of cars very good, easy , go to your car , show your license at the exit, your done
This is the way I remember hertz back in the late 1980s , 1990s. Who ever is in charge of the company has restored an old customer back to their fleet.

Worked with female agent who charged me an upgrade for a car when I did NOT ask for one. She had suggested other car options to pick from while going through the transaction, not clearly stating that I would be charged for the upgrade. Had to waste half hour more in the car rental center to cancel this charge while she went on a break. Overall shotty practices for a car rental company. Would NOT recommend renting a car here where they fool you into paying more.

Great service, got to pick my car, super fast, Buick Encore, with Android Auto;this made the whole trip. On the return, Dajuan found items we left in the car, thank you Dajuan, my girlfriend thanks you too!!

Rented new Navigator with all the bells and whistles. Staff very quickly brought car to us and even more quickly went over the buttons. Whe we attempted to start the car later, it took 20 minutes with finally a call to a Lincoln dealership to ge the car started. At present, I am still looking through the steering wheel. Extremely whole frustrating experience.

I love locations like this where you do not have to wait in any lines to get your rental as a gold member!! Makes the process so much quicker and it is nice to see the options available. The other location I went to in Oakland before this rental, I waited in line for 30+ minutes and had to basically do the entire rental process over in person despite booking the rental online??? THIS OAKLAND AIRPORT LOCATION IS SO MUCH BETTER!! Highly recommend this location. A lot of vehicle options and very quick process!
