Rooms are not super clean. The while place is a little grimy. The staff was fantastic. The location is perfect. The price was great. Would definitely stay there again.

The only bad thing is location next to train station but can be fixed if you're staying a couple nights. Just go down the street to get ear plugs at Walgreens

It's a budget friendly hotel right by Jack London Square. What more could you ask for?
Maybe some of the negative reviewers got confused by the room telephone and thought they were staying at the Marriott Marquis.
