Despite appearing to be short on staff, a considerate lady with a short haircut (I regretfully forgot her name) recognized the urgency of completing my blood work on time. Knowing that an appointment would postpone my pre-surgery evaluation, she kindly took the initiative to draw my blood without any scheduled meeting. I'm deeply grateful for her assistance. Thank you!

Located in heart of Chinatown at Renaissance Plaza. Clearly a language barrier for seniors mostly Chinese and Vietnamese who don't speak English and aren't tech savy with the Check-in process thru the monitors. No front desk person was there to greet customers. Tons of elderly, confused clients, frustrated with appointments are anxiously waiting w no help for long periods.Make sure to come prepared with1. Medical cards,2. Proper identification card.3. The phone number you booked the appointment with.4. Your doctor's Quest Diagnostics form so they know what procudure to do on you. Fasting is also required for most blood tests. 10 hours of fasting is required. If u don't have the following items covered above. They can't help you. You will need to reschedule new appointment.

5 Stars! I made an appointment online, showed up 10 min early. The receptionist helped me check-in and was super nice. I was called back for the blood draw and was out 5 min later. My test results were available the next day. Excellent service and quick as well.

This lady is a straight B****!! Over here yelling at all the patients about checking in. Literally yelling. Attitude and all. And it's only 9am. The male nurse/Dr looks like he doesn't like being here either.

Whenever mý Doctor sends mė for blood work. İ can't even schedule an appointment due to automated phone that only gives four options? Confusing and frustrating that can't schedule around mý college nor medical appointments, etc. Not fairness for patients! Only give three star due to quality service. Long lines and time management matters for success in life.

The Vietnamese speaker working at this location is incredibly rude. Makes various snarky and passive aggressive comments to my mother when she’s getting her blood drawn. We were early and she told my mom “Im only taking you now because there’s no one here. next time come at your scheduled time.” This isn’t the first time either, and my mother’s friends have experience unprofessionalism and rudeness from her at various times as well. This worker doesn’t seem to want to work and takes it out on her patients.

I’m so annoyed. I scheduled an appointment, showed up for my appointment and their door was locked. I knocked on the door for over ten minutes and called but all options are automated and you can’t talk to anyone. I ended up waiting over 15 minutes outside the door and when they finally came out they said they were done for the day and wouldn’t see me. I told them I had an appointment and I’ve been waiting and they said, too bad we are done for the day, you should have made an appointment. When I tried to tell them I did, she closed the door in my face.

So after a negative interaction with a different Quest, this location was so accommodating, the front desk staff was wonderful, greeted me as I came in, checked me in and had me in and out all of literally less than 10 minutes, the young lady who did the draw, I didn't realize we were done let alone did anything because of the conversation we were having and she said "we're done" I was stunned because I'm thinking we had a few tubes to fill, man she got it done, I love love love this location and staff, thank you guys!!!!!

I really love the 388 Ninth Street Quest in Oakland! I had such a wonderful experience there. The location is clean, there was no wait, and the staff was very nice and knowledgeable.

I went all the way to Oakland from San Francisco because it was the closest Quest to me that is open on the weekend. It was a walk-in for a lab order that was given to me by my provider last minute. I walk in at 11:05am and the older asian lady at the front desk (i believe her name is Lautina) automatically told me she wont be able to see me and dismissed another patient as well. I told her I would like to be on stand-by. She told me they close at 11:40am (which isnt true, they close at 12pm). I told her I would still like to wait. The entire time I waited she would give me ugly stares. At exactly 11:41am she told me again that they would not see me. I told her again I will wait until 12pm. The last patient left at 11:45am. So for the last 15mins, the lab had no patients left and there was 3 phlebotomists available and yet they still didn’t draw my blood. All 3 of them come out at exactly 12pm to tell me they are closed. It was as if they purposely waited until 12pm so I wouldn't get drawn.I would understand if they were super busy and they couldn't squeeze me in. But the entire 55mins that I was there, they only saw 7patients total. 7 patients seen with only me waiting on stand-by with 3 phlebotomists? Thats ridiculous. I myself got a CPT-1 license and i’ve drawn double that amount of patients by myself in half the time. So it was definitely doable but I think Lautina was being petty because I decided to be on stand-by and I didn’t leave like the other patient that she dismissed.Nobody wants to get their blood drawn. Its always for a medical necessity. Its disheartening encountering people in the medical field that obviously doesn’t care about the community they are serving.

Lady in blond has the worse temper. I come in here with my mother and she's yelling at patients about checking in and stuff. There's a lot of elderly immigrants here and she's yelling at them in English like they understand her. Don't come here or you'll probably walk out with bad vibes. Chinese places might generally had bad service but this place is worse of the worse, plus she speaks English fluently too. You can tell by her tone that she's done with her job.
