They usually have an awful attitude and will only have 1 person working even though there's a whole line of up to 10 people waiting for service. It's hard to communicate with them through the bulletproof glass, but it makes sense given their behavior. Employees aren't always properly trained on USPS rules and cannot be relied on for questions. All that said, we'll still all be going there so clearly service quality doesn't matter.

I made the appointment for a passport service with photo taken. I showed up on time but had to wait for 30 minutes later because the woman hadn’t come back from her lunch. Three weeks later i received an email from the U.S. department of state saying “the image of your face has a shadow on it and the photo you submitted was retouched or digitally altered. Please send a new one”
I called back this piedmont post office, and my wait time is 27 minutes.
What kind of service we’re having nowadays. There should be a no star for the reviewing section.

Nice people who work there now. I appreciate what they do for us. Long waits sometimes though. Wish USPS would provide them with another employee to help reduce the line. And, wish there was a separate line for picking up from my PO Box, but very nice that there is a kiosk on the premises. Overall, I’m happy with this post office 😊

Hell on earth.
Filthy. Smelly. Rude and belligerent staff.
I assume since USPS workers have a union, they are pretty content doing the bare minimum required of them.
The entire USPS is a disgrace, and the Piedmont station is a perfect example.

Easy and Friendly to get passport ! Just make sure you got everything copy from ID (back + forth), photo, etc.. worker will help print out if you needed too

I recently had the pleasure of using the USPS passport service at this location , and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience! From start to finish, the process was smooth and efficient. The staff at post office were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, guiding me through the necessary paperwork and requirements.
I also loved how they provided clear instructions on what to bring and what to expect, making the entire process stress-free. My passport was processed in a timely manner, and I received it sooner than anticipated!
Overall, I highly recommend the USPS passport service to anyone in need of a passport. Their professionalism and dedication to customer service truly set them apart. Thank you, USPS, for making this experience so positive!

yet another awful post office. 1 or 2 people working at super slow speeds. I have a PO box here and regret it half the time because whenever a package comes in I am stuck waiting in line for half an hour

I’ve had a PO Box there for more than 10 years. The employees have always been very helpful and kind. I think that the poor rating has to do more with the post office in general rather than this site in particular.

If I could give zero stars I would . Arrived to mail a package at this location 25 minutes before they closed on a Saturday and they had locked the doors. And then when I knocked felt very comfortable telling me that they would not open the door . Just update your hours if you wanna close early before the listed time. I don’t care when you close but don’t just decide to close early for no reason. I also had driven far and in the rain

i’ve now had TWO passport appointments cancelled the day of due to staffing issues. i absolutely understand short staffing, but the appointments should not be offered on the website if they’re continuously not honored and people aren’t given ample warning to reschedule. it’s on me for rescheduling at the same place where they cancelled on me the first time, but i figured the staffing issues were more due to the holidays and i could have my appointment honored in the new year. not everybody is able to do a walk-in or keep rescheduling their appointments over and over. this has been a frustrating process and has now taken over a month of my time for nothing. i would just like a passport! please change the available services on your website or staff the office so appointments can be honored when they are made. thanks!

Waited in line for a long time for Christmas stamps and the clerk showed me Hanukkah stamps. Crazy. Its December and they don't have Christmas stamps. The women that work here are rude and customer service is bottom tier. Dont recommend spending your money here.

This used to be the best post office in the area. Now it's awful. Self service machine is broken and they can't even be bothered to put a sign on it saying so. I schlepped all my things in and start using the machine only to find out it won't work halfway though, and even then I had to ask to find out what was wrong.
