I really enjoy shopping the Dollar-type stores from time to time. But after visiting 99 Cents Only in Oceanside today, this one does not qualify as a Dollar store any more - they've lost their vision. I know most of the Dollar stores have raised prices to $1.25 because of inflation. I'm good with that. But there are almost No Dollar (1.25) items in this store. The clear vision for the Dollar-type group is finding inexpensive items and sizes that can qualify in that Dollar price range. 99 Cent Only Stores (I almost laugh at their name) has stopped even targeting that Dollar zone. There are lots of other Dollar-type stores in the area. This one is neat and tidy, but they've lost my business. One other interesting thing that happened in the 99 Cent Only Store in Oceanside today. Of the six check stands at the front of the store, there was only One open for service. And there were 9 customers waiting in line at that one check stand. When I was next in line, that one checker answered her personal cell phone and talked for several minutes. Makes it easy to cross this one store off our shopping list

5+ stars for the kind cashier Liz!! But for the 2 other hispanic women working the floor, I wish I could give zero stars. We asked kindly if we could use the restroom, and they told us it was out of service and to walk to Walmart. My husband, on his way out, made a comment to the cashier Liz, and she kindly said no, our bathrooms work. Liz went on the intercom and asked for them to open the restroom. They both chose to ignore her. I walked over and asked them which one of you is suppose to open the restroom? They both looked at each other and ignored me. Luckily, someone else walked out of the restroom, and my husband was able to enter. On he's way out, he did stop and informed them both that the restroom was indeed in service and working perfectly. Thank you Liz!!

Just watch the prices, not 99 cents any more but still great bargains to be had.

This is ridiculous. It clearly says that they open up on 7:00am on Tuesday it is posted on the door and even online that they open up at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. I get there at 7:03 am on January 9th 2024 I tell the person on the other side that they should be open, they leave and come back about 5 minutes later with a sign that says "they're having technical problems". Now I don't know if they're having technical problems or not, But it seems a little suspicious that they didn't put the sign up earlier until they started seeing customers wanting to come into the door.

Omg! I was on the hunt for one Thanksgiving pie plate that I needed and went to all the 99cent stores in north county with no luck. I asked Ester who works here if she had seen them. She didn't hesitate to go to the back and see if she had them. AND SHE DID! Ester, thank you for going over and beyond to help me. I appreciate your amazing customer service!

Great savings on everything in Oceanside 99 Cents Only Store. I travel to Oceanside to shop there since the 99 Cents Only store closed in Encinitas.

Excellent location with hard working employees. Off 5 freeway. Difficult store to be employed at with transients and the highschool across the street. Many of the businesses here all look out for the kids as well

Well customer service cashier always seem out of the edge and tired. Don't smile or make eye contact, not sure maybe overworked. But they don't have much anymore like they used to.

Not ,99¢ only any more. With no change to name it's false advertisement and Valued AS and higher than .99¢, in a .99¢ ONLY: still, means: items Valued AS are .99¢
