GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and reasonable parts prices.I experienced a pleasant and informative visit at Mission Avenue Oceanside, California Location. There is a sales associate Simon, who educated me, locate correct and installed the parts onto my vehicle. I have stopped purchasing auto parts from their competitor due to the phenomenal customer service received on my visit at this particular location. I would like to express my appreciation to management and the employee for providing excellent customer service.

This store is great! Shawn provided exceptional customer service. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help me. Car issues are usually a dreaded experience, but Shawn made the experience pleasant and easy. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

I went in to get a windshield wiper for my car. The gentleman at the counter looked up the year and make of my car and picked out the windshield wiper. they offered to put on the windshield wiper with the purchase. The gentleman came out to my car fiddled around a while, but was unable to put it on. He then called another gentleman who is very nice, but the part didn't fit. Since it wasn't going to fit, they offered me to refund. They asked me for my receipt which when I was ringing up the product they had put my email in. This was the option I chose to receive my receipt. Lo and behold the receipt was not in my email and it's still not in my email. The gentleman who rang up the purchase said he will have to put it on a card that could be used at this place of business. He said if I didn't have a receipt, he was unable to give me cash of which I paid with my debit card. I was able to show them that the transaction went through to my bank but he insisted he could not give me a refund back to my card or any which way except a gift card. I am now stuck with a gift card that I may never use. I am sure there was someway they could've made this right, but they did not attempt any further, I feel ripped off

I purchased a car battery from Advance Auto Parts. The issue with my vehicle turned out to be a bad cable and a battery replacement was not required. The following day, I went to return the battery which was never installed (didn't even leave the cabin of my vehicle after purchase). I was told that Advance Auto Parts would not refund my money even though the battery was never used or installed and I had the receipt in hand. I was then told by the employee with a condescending tone to "go ahead and check around, everyone has the same policy." Unsatisfied with his answer, I decided to do just that. Not only did I find a competitor, but I found multiple competitors that would offer a full refund as long as the battery wasn't used or installed which was my situation. If Advance Auto Parts is going to offer horrible or non-existent return policies that is one thing, but don't lie and challenge customers to search and find better policies from their competitors because they just might do so. Big shout out to Autozone!!! They were professional and courteous and would offer a full refund to someone in a similar situation as myself. Needless to say, I will not be shopping at Advance Auto Parts again!!!
