DAV Veterans Thrift Store offers a large selection of donated items across four locations in San Diego. Customers can find a variety of products, with new items added daily. While some shoppers note that prices can be high for used goods, the store provides a 25% discount for active duty military and veterans every day, and even more savings on Veterans Day.
The store has a unique charm, described as slightly unorganized with dim lighting, making it a treasure hunt for seasoned thrift shoppers. Though there are no dressing rooms and returns are not accepted, many enjoy the experience of searching for hidden gems. The friendly staff is praised for their helpfulness, especially during donation drop-offs, making the process easy with a convenient drive-thru configuration. Overall, DAV Veterans Thrift Store stands out for its great selection and commitment to supporting veterans, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all shoppers.
I just watched the most amazing interaction with a customer and an employee named Giovanna. This girl made this man feel absolutely amazing about his purchase and I gotta say I haven’t seen that kind of customer service in a really long time. Keep up the good work, lady.
