It's a shame that my opinion of this company has changed. It changed after they tightened the oil drain cap all the way and I started leaking oil from the engine. Well, that’s not the main thing, the main thing is that they didn’t admit their mistake, but wanted to transfer the blame to me. Shame on this company!!!!!!

Flat tire was unexpected. Nk tow was suoer good and pep boys was super friendly and as quick as possible even with long holiday. So happy for great people.

Always coming here for maintenance on my car - have had a long history with just wear and tear on my car, but absolutely love Mark and Tammy. Truly the most helpful, fair and trustworthy. Would always recommend people bring their cars here as they're honest, and tell you how it is. Appreciate everything they do!

mark here is once of the worst managers, didn’t ask any questions, then proceeded to get upset when he went steps ahead and didn’t ask the customer what their payment or coverage was worst manager experience i’ve ever had

Very Disappointed
I have been going to PepBoys since the late 80's. My wife's Tiguan is due for brake service. We have a new set of front and rear set of Duralast brake pads for the vehicle. We live in Vegas but she works in the ER at a San Diego Hospital. Flies back and forth weekly. We have used the Oceanside Pep Boys for years. I called for a quote and was told by Ken that they do not install customer parts. Just a couple of months ago, they installed tires that we purchased from Tire Rack, no problem. There are a lot of auto service centers and it is to bad that inconsistency with there policy has made me decide to never use PepBoys again.

Absolutely terrible place. Went there for a sensor for turbo on my f150. I gave them the code that was popping up already and they had scheduled a appt and said they already most likely know what it is. So when I arrived for my appt. and had let them know as soon as I came in exactly what was wrong and what to expect they said ok and took my truck. 3 hours later they call me and asked me to come back after I had just stopped by about 5 minutes prior to their call and the lady at the fromt said she hasent heard anything about my truck and never went and asked anyone. So as I left I got 5 minutes away they called back and said I needed to come back and assess my own truck for them and show them where a hanging cable goes to. First off I'm paying. them to assess and diagnose my truck. So then when I arrive the lady says it's gonna be 110$ for them diagnosing it. I went and asked the tech in the back and he openly admitted to saying they never touched or took apart anything on my truck and simply seen a cable hanging and they stopped. The cable that was hanging was for my old bumper that connects to the old headlights. They insisted that would be the cause of my engine light on and code reading for turbo. After 3 hours worth of nothing.the lady at the fromt said she would tell them to start putting my truck back together and they would lower it and I could leave. Well as I'm standing there she then says they are going to do a oil change first then drop my truck. I then had to walk around back and tell them to drop my truck which took 15 seconds.before changing someone else's oil which would of been another 20 min+. Absolutely terrible service and no care at all. Would not recommend.

Arrived at 5:40pm, when they closed at 6pm. Was told to go to them from another Pep Boys that didn't have what we needed. My tire had gone completely flat, had the spare on. Was trying to get home, which was 90 miles away. I had a sleeping toddler with me, in my arms, my elderly mom and another young child as well. I was told that to patch the tire would take 30 minutes, and they closed in 20 min. I said there is no way to help, nope sorry, you can come back tomorrow. I explained that I didn't live in the area, and was trying to get home. They didn't care. Said sorry. No other place was open past 5pm, if at all opened on a Sunday. This was the only option, which I said as well. They didn't care. I left in tears. Wish someone would have shown some kindness. We won't ever return to a Pep Boys.

I booked an appointment online and dropped the car off. I was greeted by professional and courteous staff that called me to discuss recommended additional services. The work was done quickly and the pickup process was easy.

Fantastic service, quick, friendly staff. The manager there is a great guy and it's evident people like working there. Highly recommend Pep Boys in Oceanside off the 78 Freeway near Plaza Drive.

Mark was very helpful at the front desk and got my car in at the appointment time and finished quickly. Always a good experience getting my car taken care of when I bring it to this location. Its nice its next to McDonalds as I enjoy an ice tea and check my emails while I wait.
