We were ready for a new cat after the passing of our 17 year old cat Yam. The staff was very caring and helpful, the facility was open, airy, clean and welcoming. Eliza, our new family member, was given to us microchipped, medically sound and perfectly suited to our home. We love her! She even fetches, sits and gives you the cat version of the š«¶ sign!

I scheduled a couple of vaccinations for dog online. I arrived about 5 minutes early. No else was there on a Friday afternoon around 3:20 pm. Staff was friendly and courteous and everything was done in about 10 minutes. I love the low cost vaccination clinics offerred in San Diego county.

Everyone is helpful, kind and accommodating. I was transporting 3 senior dogs to Frosted Faces Foundation rescue. The work the Humane Society does to help dogs is AMAZING š

Really WEIRD place. On the one hand, the animals donāt seem mistreated in anyway, well taken care of. On the other hand, adopting from here is difficult, you canāt meet the dog before agreeing to adopt or register with a full profile. The staff seem to simultaneously pressure you to adopt that same day, and refuses to allow us to allow our dog to meet a potential adopted dog. They kept shuffling us along the process to adoption touting same day adoption, and made comments about āwe can only allow dog to dog interactions if thereās a noteā. Thereās even a sign on the kennels saying to bring your dog to meet pets up for adoption.
They primarily use their computer system to try and āmatchā you with a dog before youāve interacted them, almost a weird dog Eharmony. They claimed they donāt have enough staff to facilitate dog to dog interaction or for people to meet with the dogs (one staff member even claimed she wished they could) but there were plenty of staff standing around in the lobby or sitting in chairs on their phones.
Really weird, our only barrier to adopting today was making sure our current dog got along with a new dog and they knew about that but tried to get us as far along in the adoption before giving a hard ānoā as possible. We were told the only way for our dog to meet an adoptable dog, would be to first adopt the dog then take it on a walk at home. Might as well just pick a dog off the internet, the staff really do avoid any actual meeting or interaction.
Just seems sad how many animals there wonāt go to homes because of a confusing policy.
