The associates and manager at the Oceanside location are dishonest and unethical.I had ordered some paint and when I went to the store to pick it up, there was a sales associate who was outside having a discussion with an older woman and was holding a drawer from an antique desk.The sales associate completely ignored me and he took the woman he was talking with to the back area, that's not open to the public, to show her an antique desk that he was refinishing. The woman the associate was talking with wasn't buying any Sherwin-Williams merchandise.I was the only customer and stood there for several minutes while the associate completely ignored me until I spoke up.It was clear as day this dishonest associate was conducting some personal business. He was so incompetent that he sent me home with the wrong product, Minwax white stain, that he put in a bag and then had the nerve to lie to me.Instead of assisting customers, the sales associates ignore them to work on personal side projects (refinishing furniture in the back, possibly a side gig) and don't pay attention to orders.Avoid Sherwin-Williams unless you don't mind poor treatment, lack of transparency, dishonesty and being inconvenienced

Michael was super nice informative and courteous. He helped me find the correct shades of color I needed for a client and made sure I had everything I needed for the job. Not only was he great the whole team provided an atmosphere that welcoming and they seemed to work well with each other. Kudos to the team. Thank you so much. I will definitely be back and will refer people to this location.

We have been searching for the right exterior paint color for our house. Steven could not have been more helpful ESPECIALLY with the paint samples. Great recommendations for deciding how to choose a color that would work for us and answered all of our questions along the way. He handled the multiple customers in the store with ease and a friendly demeanor. Cannot recommend enough!

Went in to grab some paint swatches & the staff was super friendly & helpful. I had researched what colors I wanted already online, so when I got there the guy just took my paint codes & found the swatches for me. Super quick which made finding a paint color that much easier.

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff seemed genuinely uninterested in their job and had me waiting at the store after I had called in my paint beforehand. I’m a professional working for a company and there’s no excuse to have me waiting in the store to have paint mixed on the clock when it’s a charge account the paint was ordered on.The worst part is the didn’t even know what account to charge for because they never looked it up when I was on the phone making the order in the first place. And for that they acted annoyed and rude with me!

I fully believe that anyone who writes a positive review of this store is either a friend of the management or a paid reviewer. The customer service here is terrible, as I now see by some other recent reviews. We asked the associate at the counter (who came from the back minutes after we got to the store, while he was listening to music) about matching colors from another paint store, as our potential contractor uses Sherwin-Williams paint exclusively. We had color codes with corresponding code numbers from the other distributor's brand. He said "we don't do that" and "there's no we we can do that." First of all, what? We sent humans to the moon over 50 years ago, surely we can match paint colors regardless of differing codes from different manufacturers, right? He was very rude and condescending. We eventually did use the pallets they had in store, basically just holding up our sheet to the pallets and eyeballing it. I could have done that without the rude attitude. It's to the point we may consider another contractor, simply because of this experience. There's other painters out there who use other paint, and I have plenty of money to spend on the job, as I'll pay it in one shot. This store obviously stays in business due to contractors buying paint in bulk of large exterior or whole-house interior paint jobs. If you're a do-it-yourself type (not a contractor), save yourself trip to this location. Sherwin-Williams is good paint, but it's not the be all/end all. Behr and Valspar make paint as well, and you can get them at Lowe's or Home Depot, and you don't have to put up with bro-dude attitude.

Fire that kid at the front desk . Doesn't know how to multi task . Started getting mad over the phone because he had 2 people waiting and couldn't answer my question because he was super busy I guess . Can't handle pressure don't work in a store like this kid . You've got plenty of orders besides mine and all I wanted was a 5 gallon bucket . So only takes 15 minutes to mix

I went to pick up $500 worth of paint for my car that I ordered through Sherwin-Williams, and when I went to paint my car I noticed it was the wrong color paint, and definitely not what I ordered. So I went back to try to get things sorted out, but they were unable to refund me for their mistake. So they wasted a lot of my money and didn't do anything to help me fix something that was entirely their fault. Do not go to them they are awful!

Rudest customer service, EVER!!! Dude behind the counter was SO rude when we asked him to explain how it works if you come in with a chip of paint from another brand. His explanation did not make a lot of sense to myself or my husband, so we asked for a little clarification, and he literally and AUDIBLY said (under his mask, while he SHOOK HIS FOOL HEAD at us!!!) "jeez...again, you have to....". I was floored. So floored by his nasty attitude, in fact, that I couldn't even react the way I wanted to to his blatant unprofessionalism. THAT'S how off-guard it caught me!! It needs desperately to be brought to management's attention, but for all I know this l**** WAS the damn manager? There didn't seem to be any other employees in the entire building. I will NEVER do business with this location again, and I advise you not to as well. F- rating BIG time.

Honestly this store is an embarrassment to the Sherwin Williams Brand. The employees here need to undergo a customer service treatment course to learn how to interact and respond to customers. Their machines need a serious update to because according to their POS 10% off is greater discount than 15% off. And they refuse coupons based on your age and gender profile. What a disgrace to society.
