I cannot express how amazing my time spent learning how to surf with JD and Cory was. They make sure you are ready to have the time of your life when you are in their care. From being fit for the wetsuit to the dry land skills development to your time spent in the water, Whitlock Surf Experience ensure you feel valued and important. They take the time to show you the proper form, and explain why, so that way when you hit the waves, you can try and spend more time standing up on your board! I'm planning another trip to Oceanside next year, and you can absolutely count on me signing up for some more lessons with Whitlock Surf Experience! Be warned that you are going to have such a great time, you should do yourself a favor and book 2 lessons with them. You will be hooked! 🤙

We learned so much about surfing because of the generosity of Cory and the Whitlock family! Our kids had a great experience with the 4 days of surf camp and they were catching waves regularly on day 1 and we could not get them out of the waves after lessons. Cory also shared about their family surfboard making shop and even about surf wax making....all super interesting and cool! On the kid's last day of lessons, we went to the shop one last time so the kids could make custom Whitlock hats and Cory even made them delicious shave ice! We were seriously blown away by Cory's generosity of spirit and can't wait to go back next summer for lessons (and shave ice!)!

My fiancé and I had an amazing time learning from Daniel. In just the two hour time frame I was catching waves. We had to initially reschedule because of traffic issues, and the owner was super nice and understanding. Highly recommend

We rented a surf board, skim board, and boogie board here when we were in Oceanside for a vacation recently. The owner even helped us load up the boards and everything. Excellent service and product selection. We did surf lessons with them a few years ago and had a great experience. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things about Cory and his team. My whole experience was absolutely amazing. Jorge, our trainer, was patient, encouraging, energetic, and fun. I was initially scared and worried about trying it, but they made sure I felt safe and enjoyed my time. Cory felt like a kind uncle who ensured I fell in love with surfing, and I truly did. I can't thank him enough for this incredible experience.

Great time with Whitlock Surf! Ray is the most fun loving genuine guy, he makes you feel at home and comfortable from the start. He was the sweetest with all 3 of my kids and got us all up surfing in no time. He made the experience very special and I highly recommend asking for him. Thank you Ray!

Can’t say enough good things about our experience with Cory, Ray, and Alex! I’ve taken surf lessons in Tofino, San Diego, and Maui and by far, Whitlock has been the BEST surf experience! They were extremely personable, giving each person in the group direct one on one attention all while keeping safety top of mind. They are extremely professional and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Wow! I can’t say enough kind things about my whole experience. Cory and his team were absolutely amazing.Ray led the lesson and made everyone feel included. He even took his time to remember everyone’s name, which says a lot.He was very encouraging and helpful.My group ended up connecting after to hangout the rest of the day in Oceanside and we all even ended up buying surf boards back at the shop (also highly recommend).Give Cory your money and go surf! Trust me!
