302 W Matilija St, Ojai“This is a library bookstore (books are donated). It's small but always fun to hang out and see if you can find a gem or two. They sell books, cds, dvds, and some photographs on the wall. The prices range from $1.00 (for fiction paperbacks - lots of them in their backroom) to generally $3.00 (though some are more $ if they're vintage or special in some way). I've even seen some "The Great Courses" audio and video series (at great prices). The volunteers have been overall nice. The air conditioning is priceless when temps in Ojai reach into the 90's and more (not relevant, but chilling out and looking at books can be a treat, especially after a hike!). Worth a look if you're in town. It's close to the Ojai colonade where all the shops are.”
“Beautiful place to visit. I first learned about comparative religion here as a kid, and it blew my mind! I love the gardens, the library, and walking here from the Ojai Meadows Preserve.”
“inside the Krotona Theosophy Center Campus. carries publications and books related to theosophy, religion, metaphysics, and philosophy. They also sell candles, incense, posters, alter ware, and other religious items. Very nice staff, beautiful court yard garden.”
“Loved this place. It was so cute and had a really good selection of books. Everyone was respectful even when it got crowded. It’s just beautiful. I can’t wait to go back.”
