Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is one of those places in Southern California that truly feels like an escape the moment you arrive. Tucked into the Ojai Valley and surrounded by the Topatopa Mountains, the property spreads across hundreds of acres of beautifully landscaped grounds filled with oak trees, gardens, and quiet walking paths. It’s the kind of place where everything slows down and the focus shifts to relaxing and enjoying the setting. 

The resort itself is impressive in both size and quality. Guests have access to multiple pools, a championship golf course, tennis courts, hiking trails, and one of the most well-known luxury spas in California. The spa alone is massive, offering dozens of treatment rooms, wellness classes, saunas, and relaxation areas designed to help you fully unwind. 

The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a classic California resort style. Many have private terraces with views of the valley, and the bathrooms feel more like something you’d find in a high-end home with large soaking tubs and marble finishes. 

What really stands out, though, is the overall experience. The service is consistently excellent, the grounds are incredibly peaceful, and there are enough restaurants and activities on the property that you could easily spend an entire weekend without leaving. 

It’s definitely a luxury resort and priced accordingly, but if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway not far from Los Angeles or Orange County, Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is one of the most beautiful and well-rounded destinations in California.”

“Love this place! This was my third time staying at the Blue Iguana and Emerald Iguana. Emerald is right in town. Blue is just outside of town. The landscaping at both properties is beautiful, the rooms are akin to little casitas rather than basic hotel rooms. I’ve found the staff to be wonderful and very helpful and the rooms to be clean and well-maintained. Most have little gardens or outside sitting patios. Also, there are dog friendly rooms if you book them ahead of time. I visit Ojai 6-8 times a year, I’ve stayed in most of the properties around town and the Iguanas are my favorite! (Also, they have a nice strong coffee brand in the rooms 😀)”

“Our stay at Caravan Outpost was one of those trips that ended up being even better than we expected. Coming from the city, we wanted something different for the kids, something a little more outdoorsy, relaxed, and memorable. This place delivered. The kids had an absolute blast. For them, staying in an Airstream felt like a real adventure, and they loved every part of it. It was fun watching them get excited about the little things: the setup, the open space, the atmosphere, and just being somewhere that felt completely different from home. As a dad, I really appreciated how easy the whole experience was. The Airstream was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, so it still felt convenient while giving us that unique and novel camping feeling. The property has a great vibe, the location is close to shops, restaurants, and breweries, and everything from check-in to check-out was smooth. We left already talking about when we could come back. This was such a great family getaway, and we’re excited to make it a yearly tradition from now on. We can’t wait to return next year.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Emerald Iguana. The place is so beautiful and comfortable. The landscaping is gorgeous with sparkling pool and jacuzzi. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff was so nice and helpful. When there were a couple of minor issues they took such good care. The location is walking distance to so many fun shops and restaurants. There are bikes you can rent to explore the Ojai Vally bike trail. Can’t recommend enough!”

“Incredible stay for an enjoyable long weekend. We had the king suite and the room was incredible and spacious. Very comfortable bed and fantastic tub with a separate shower. The grounds were well kept, the pool lounge chairs were very comfortable.
Pool area situated near the main road so a bit noisy at times but not much can be done about that. Would highly recommend this place for any couples or families looking to get away to Ojai for a few days!”

“My girlfriend is employed there at Ojai Valley Inn. And it was.there annual associate of the year party. It was a very nice gathering of employees and there families and friends. A good time for all. Good food, good music, good people.”

“Full transparency- I haven't stayed yet but off to a good start. 10/10 service from Stewart on the phone who accommodated our requests so quickly and well. Appreciate good customer service. Heard great things about this hotel and the cocktails! Driven by on our last trip to Ojai and it's so cute and charming. Typically stay at OVI but looking forward to checking out this spot at our stay next month and will update this review!”

“Loved the Su Nido Inn in Ojai. You can walk to everything and the room we had gave us a patio that enabled amazing relaxing and people and bird watching. Would stay again.”

“We are very happy with our stay here.
We got two queen beds accessible room. It’s spacious, very clean and neat.
The toilet has installed a seat riser which my husband (who is 6’8”) really appreciates it!

They use thick plush towels and nice beddings which I really appreciate it!

Great location, about half a mile away from downtown. I walked to most of the restaurants and stores and enjoyed it.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staffs.
They don’t serve breakfast here which is fine. There are plenty great breakfast places. My favorites are The Dutchess and Three birds cafe.”

“We had a lovely birthday weekend getaway for my wife. Unfortunately, there was rain the whole weekend. Rooms were lovely and service prompt. It's our second time staying here as it is dog friendly and a great location for many lovely restaurants around Ojai.”

“Our stay this past weekend was exceptional! The king room was cozy and the hot tub was a plus. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and everyone was so welcoming and sweet. The best part is the bar and cozy seating area to relax & chat with locals. We will definitely be back and make this our new little home away from . Thank you to Mina, Jack ( at the bar) and the whole staff for making us feel celebrated & cozy .”
