“You won't find a more friendly establishment in OC. Is the building old? Yes, but it is just what one would expect from an American Legion post. It has character and in my experience everyone is friendly and welcoming. I joined as a son and grandson of veterans. The post is very involved and there is something going on just about everyday. CASA volunteers advocate for children, developing a one-on-one relationship with them through outings, quality time, and most importantly, listening. This commitment enables our advocates to interact with all professionals involved in the child’s case and make recommendations directly to the court, ensuring the child’s best interests are heard. Unlike social workers, therapists, and attorneys who juggle large caseloads, CASAs work with one child at a time and can quickly become a critically important person in the child’s life.”
