“There's nothing bad about this place how they go out & beyond for the homeless people making sure they have food and clothing.I come here to keep myself from starving to death. It's extremely hard when you find yourself trying to survive on the streets. These people are wonderful to get to know because they welcome you with a smile. Places and people like this that strive to help us deserve a big thank you ❤️ I always said there is a reason God put certain people here as angels and they certainly showed how dedicated they are.. You should always give back to the ones that give because it shows your loyalty to them and that might mean everything to one person. If you had to change one thing I would say nothing because you're already doing great ?”

I know we say it time and time again, but you get out of the Chamber what you put in. I see that they have a lot of furniture that seems to be in great condition - I haven't had the need to purchase any but I'm sure when I do need some, I'll stop by The Eli Home first.”

“My parents have been living at Walnut Village for two years. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about the place.The facility is as beautiful as a retirement community in Anaheim can be. The grounds are pleasant and well kept. My mom and dad's apartment has a good layout (2 bedrooms/1.5 baths) and was completely repainted and carpeted to their design (within limits) at move-in. It's a very nice place to hang out. There are two restaurants; one for casual lunch and a second for formal dinners. The food and selection at both are very good.But the best part about this place is the staff. The people (from gardeners to nurses, to admin.) that work there are all super helpful, and seem to genuinely care about the tenants and their families.I wish there was a more active social scene. There are plenty of classes and planned activities, but they seem sparsely attended.This probably has more to do with the clientele than the facility. Most tenants are pretty well off and probably not accustom to fraternizing with their neighbors, much less apartment living.WV is quite expensive. So, doing a detailed analysis of your finances is critical. But if the numbers work out, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better place to spend the last few years of your life.Note that WV is not for freshly retired and active seniors. It's more suited for the final third of your golden years.”
“I started hope house at 18 , I knew many people, I was 18 in the 90's just saying, my family donated, Mark is the best this program works, the only reason anyone would give a bad review is because nobody wants a change, I highly recommend this program for anyone who wants it's and not court ordered unless you want change!”

Back in 2021 I was first referred to them by the VA-HUD-VASH program, while getting my housing approved. I've lived here in La Habra ever since.
Let to tell you,...without their help things were looking very grim. I didn't know really what I needed, or what I even deserved. I was sleeping on an air mattress with a 40 inch flat screen leaning against the wall. That lasted all but a week before I was fully furnished with the help of the people at Patriots & Paws.
Well guess what, now I'm too a volunteer there. There's no more awesomeness of a feeling, than that of giving back. ??”
