“You won't find a more friendly establishment in OC. Is the building old? Yes, but it is just what one would expect from an American Legion post. It has character and in my experience everyone is friendly and welcoming. I joined as a son and grandson of veterans. The post is very involved and there is something going on just about everyday. Keep up the good work.”

“This review is to express my appreciation for my current account manager, Abigail U., who has consistently provided me with outstanding, prompt, friendly and competent service. With her in charge, I feel confident that my account is being well managed, and that I will be competently assisted as needed, as well as promptly advised of anything I need to know. I hope she remains assigned to manage my account for as long as I have one. :) Thank you, Abigail.”

“MARY'S KITCHEN IS NO LONGER WHERE IT USED TO BE. IT IS NOW LOCATED OFF OF CERRITOS BETWEEN ANAHEIM BLVD. AND LEWIS ST. YOU NEED TO CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET FOOD AND TOILETRIES ECT.. I WENT BY THERE NOT KNOWING THIS. THEY ALLOWED ME IN ASKED IF I WOULDN'T MIND VOLUNTEERING FOR A BIT TO WHICH I SAID ABSOLUTELY. I WAS THERE HELPING PUT AWAY IN THE FREEZER SOME FOOD THAT JUST CAME IN FIR MAYBE 1/2 AN HOUR. MARY HERSELF ALLOWED ME TO TAKE WHAT I COULD FIT IN MY BACKPACK AND I WAS ON MY WAY. SHE GAVE ME A CARD AND SAID IF I EVER WANTED TO COME BACK JUST TO CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I BELIEVE I WILL TAKE HER UP ON THAT. MARY IS SUPER DOWN TO EARTH AND EASY TO TALK TO. TO BAD THE CITY THEY WERE IN BEFORE DIDN'T APPRECIATE WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THIS GUY APPRECIATES THEM.”

“Kathy and Steve have helped me so much through counseling and celebrate recovery. Through biblical leadership and their faith and trust in the Lord, they have helped me to grow closer to Christ and always keep my focus on what he’s already done instead of circumstances and people in life. I would highly recommend reaching out to AMFL if you truly want to be healed and for healing to happen in your marriage. I thought my marriage was hopeless but now I see, if it’s meant to be it’s up to me to surrender in obedience to Christ and let Him do the rest within me! Thank you AMFL for positively impacting my family’s lives!”

“Great store and great customer service! It was definitely a relief to find an actual thrift store with thrift store prices in a circle full of absurdly expensive curated vintage stores. I ended up getting a Calvin Klein belt for two dollars, a really cute pair of star earrings for one, and a great pair of snakeskin boots with Vince Neil vibes (love him) for eight. The employees behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back”

“COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES (CASAS) are trained, dedicated, ordinary citizens with extraordinary hearts. CASA volunteers advocate for children, developing a one-on-one relationship with them through outings, quality time, and most importantly, listening. This commitment enables our advocates to interact with all professionals involved in the child’s case and make recommendations directly to the court, ensuring the child’s best interests are heard. Unlike social workers, therapists, and attorneys who juggle large caseloads, CASAs work with one child at a time and can quickly become a critically important person in the child’s life.”

“I can't say enough great things about this organization. Let me start off by saying that my son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes 5 months ago today. PADRE Foundation has been nothing short of amazing since we began this T1D Journey.

The first event we attended was their Harvest Carnival. Xander had a great time, and so did we! We connected with other families with T1D children and even connected with Angel IDs, which provided Xander with a high-quality medical ID completely free of charge. There were games, a low blood sugar table, and a food truck with carb counts clearly posted.

The second event we attended was a private tour at the LA Zoo for T1D families that was put together by Camp Conrad Chinnock, JDRF, and PADRE Foundation. Another amazing experience, we'll never forget. Each group of 10 was paired with a docent that gave us insightful facts on all the animals we saw. After the tour, we were treated to an amazing bird show.

Last night we attended the PADRE Foundation Holiday Party at Dave & Busters in Orange, wow! They went all out! We had our own little area and were served food. I was even able to get a gluten-free option for my meal, which wasn't just a lettuce-wrapped cheeseburger but actually had a gluten-free bun - the best one I've ever had! In addition to good food, there were crafts and raffles. Xander won one of the raffles! After the raffle winners were announced, all of the kids got to pick out a stuffed animal from under the tree to take home. That wasn't all; they gave each kid a bag of goodies and a gameplay card with unlimited use on any non-prize/ticket games. Oh, and of course, we met more awesome members of the T1D community!

We love PADRE Foundation so much because we are a single-income family barely making ends meet, especially with a newly diagnosed T1D. It's nice to know there are options out there for everyone. They'll be having a fashion show coming up next year that Xander is already signed up for. We can't wait for that and anything else the PADRE Foundation has in store.”

“Spoke to a woman by the name of Sonya Vartos and she was so incredibly rude. She took what i was telling her personal. Was so condescending and no help at all. After reading these other reviews i would say their counselors need to enroll into a communications class.”
