“I like Harbor Freight . More so now that I’m retired and don’t need that heavy construction grade tool that will be used a thousand times week in and week out . They don’t carry “top of the line” that you spend an arm and a leg on, but do carry a decent assortment of different tools and accessories that are pretty fair quality for the most part . If you’re in a pinch and need something, more than likely you’ll find it here .”

“The owner is so kind. I went in to purchase drawer glides that were $40 each at a lumbar store. His prices were less and I connected how expensive they were .. he then volunteered and told me there were nearly identical glides much cheaper. I bought a 6-pack of them and it was 2.5 times cheaper than I would have paid at the lumber store. I will go there first for cabinet hardware.”

“Fred was very helpful, and he gave me some good information. Edit: The bathroom project Fred helped me with turned out great! I went back for another project, and another guy was so accommodating. He helped me get the exact paint I needed, and he made sure I had the right level of glossiness. I will continue to use Dunn-Edwards for my future projects.”

“Johnstone supply is one of the main sources for hardware and replacement parts in Ventura. They beat the box stores hands down and carry great quality contractor tools. Service and delivery is a snap. I have never been let down by them in 15 years. The soapmaking is next door as well and you can not beat the combo of the two.”

“This rating is for their garden department ONLY. They have hired some great gardeners who truly understand indoor and outdoor gardening. I've had a great experience with all of their employees. Great place for organic soil, rocks and good priced terra cotta pots. Found some amazing deals in their indoor plant area.”

“I frequently the Lowe’s in Oxnard and majority of the time I have a good experience. Lowe’s is great with accepting returns and most of the employees in each department are good. Some of the cashiers are a bit awkward and don’t offer much help. The younger employees don’t have the skill set as the seasoned older adult employees. The younger employees are very lazy and not very helpful at all. The past couple of time going to Lowe’s is a hit or miss with employee helpfulness. I go to Lowe’s because it is closer to my house, but I am tempted to drive the extra mile or two to The Home Depot if my experience at Lowe’s with the younger employees continues with uselessness and not willing to be helpful. I am more willing to ask an older Lowe’s employee because at least I know I will get a response appropriately and helpfulness.”

“This was my first experience with the shop. I am a private user (not a company) and the staff was great to my wife and I. Since AR150 tanks are being phased out, Ricardo Lopez helped me by upgrading my tanks to AR200's. The store is simply has the best pricing in the area, and the staff is very friendly with a great sense of humor. The store is easy to find and has a large parking lot to ease loading. Due to my recent surgery, Ricardo loaded my new tanks (easily 100 lbs per tank) for me. Their showroom is large and comprehensive in terms of equipment and accessories. I can honestly give my highest recommendation to this business and its staff.”

“Today was a great shopping day at Lowe's. I found everything I needed fast because I found employees ready to help me right there in the aisle where I needed them to be. Amazing! First, I needed keys made. Veronica offered and had them made before I even turned around to shop for other things. Then I needed to solve a problem of lifting a couch for a senior and Seth helped me see the solution through. Then Jack cut pieces of lumber after I had purchased the long pole. I don't believe I had ever had so many help me on one trip. Thanks people at Lowes. Especially Seth- you went above and beyond. You deserve recognition.”

“I truly appreciate the OUTSTANDING customer service that I received from Shane this afternoon. Not only did he provide me the exact superior type of circular saw I needed but he also took the time to demonstrate to me how I could use it. With my father's recent passing, Shane's instruction means the world to me because now I feel confident I can help my mother with repairs without costing us money to hire someone.”
