From the lady that answered the phone when I booked my appointment, to the vet techs and vets on staff, I was impressed. It was refreshing to have an animal hospital that is organized, welcoming, knowledgeable, and honest. I'm very happy I took a chance here, they now have a long term client :). “I took my pug here for the first time to establish care and get a shot and I was impressed with the professionalism and care I got here. My dog got a bit anxious and excited (he’s a pug so they love to cuddle but can get jumpy when you touch their ears and stuff lol). The vet was so gentle and professional and gave me insight into a few things to consider with my little guy. I also found out as suspected he is a bit older than I was told by the rescue I got him from. That was important to know. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in Walnut Creek!”

“We were nervous to take our 13.5 year old pup for surgery here as a first time patient, but Dr. Johnson exceeded our expectations and took amazing care of Muffy. We were especially impressed by the thoughtfulness, patience, and honesty we experienced here (ie, Dr. Johnson proactively recommended an ointment outside of the clinic to save us money). They were also able to schedule us in quickly and conduct the surgery the day of the exam!”

“From the moment you walk in the door, you see a chalkboard with your pets name on it, We were bringing in Miss peppermint?? And Dr. Scripps had her name on the door. Dr. Scripps is a fabulous vet. She did a thorough examination on her as she’s eight weeks old a brand new Princess. I also have a nine year-old black tabby cat and Dr. Scripps sees him as well. His name is Mr. snuggles so we are very happy with Alamo Vet and all the people at the front desk and all the Vet text are absolutely dynamite. Thank you for making us feel at home with our precious animals♥️?”

“By far the best vet I have ever been to. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes and Dr. Campbell took so much time to explain everything to me during such a stressful time. She went above and beyond to help me understand everything by thoroughly explaining. I am so grateful my cat was able to be in her wonderful care during the beginning of his diagnosis. I am forever thankful for the wonderful compassion. Appointments are easy to schedule online with sometimes same day or next day availability. Prices are reasonable and I don't feel like they overdo testing and give you options.”

“On February 9, 2026, Rico (my granddog) suddenly lost the ability to walk. He was in visible distress—screaming and panting—so we rushed him to a neurologist. The diagnosis was heartbreaking: Stage 5 IVDD with double incontinence. We were told his only real shot at walking again was an immediate $15,000 surgery (95% success rate), while the alternative was strict crate rest with only a 50/50 chance. Desperate for a second opinion, I called Dr. Reddig. Even though she had never treated Rico before, she has taken such incredible care of my other dogs that I knew I needed her help. Her team was amazing and squeezed us in right away. Dr. Reddig developed a comprehensive recovery plan, including a specific treatment schedule, supplements, and home exercises. It took two months of incredibly hard work, but thanks to her expertise, Rico is walking again—and we did it all without surgery. I truly believe we couldn’t have reached this milestone without Dr. Reddig; I owe her everything for giving Rico his mobility back.”

She recently had cancer screening with xray and ultrasound before a surgery to remove an aggressive melanoma. I am so grateful for the tech team providing fear free services for a nervous dog in a hard time. They referred us to a local oncologist at Pacific Veterinary Emergency group after the tumor removal and I am so very grateful for their guidance and care that is allowing my old lady to live pain free for a long time after the surgery. They are an amazing team!”

“She's an excellent vet. I swear by her. She has decades of experience and it shows. Once I brought one of my old cats to the vet due to an emergency. He had stopped eating and was hiding; he was barely there. She took him in. Turns out my cat was dealing with liver failure. Had I waited 24 hours, he would have been dead. She immediately began hydration IVs and other treatment. Due to her extensive knowledge, she was able to recognize that he was dealing with a major infection, leptospirosis (rare in cats but it happens), which targets the liver. She correctly treated him with antibiotics when most other vets would have assumed that it was rat poison. After two days at the vet, my orange boy was back home, alive! So I trust this vet with any difficult pet affairs, especially when it comes to cats. She's deeply knowledgeable and I can't recommend her enough.”

“The whole vet team is incredible and the biggest pet lovers. Our Boston Terrier was in a traumatic accident and the Hillcrest team took the best care of her. We were visiting them Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for a few weeks and it was so apparent they love dogs by the way the greeted me and my dog. She had bandages on her feet and they made sure to keep it exciting with different prints and patterns. Maybe they already had them, or maybe they bought more options, but either way, it was a bright moment in a pretty stressful situation. When I saw one of the doctors, he was so kind and loving toward my dog, it really meant a lot to me to see how he interacted with her. They always had suggestions to help with side effects from her medicine, responsive on the phone, and just great people. Thanks for taking the best care of Junie!”
