Bide-A-Wee Inn & Cottages offers quaint cottages in an excellent location near the beach, with a Seattle feel and atmosphere. It is dog friendly. Many guests found it an affordable, convenient, and highly recommended lodging option with a seamless check-in experience. The rooms are described as beautiful, cozy, clean, and comfortable, with very comfortable beds, beautiful high ceilings and beams, fireplaces, and perfect sized kitchenettes. The location is amazing, scenic, and within walking distance to the beach and an easy drive to Carmel or Monterey. Staff was friendly. However, experiences vary. Some guests reported downsides, including rooms that were small, old, cold, and did not feel completely clean. Issues noted were dingy sheets, a room smelling like dirty water, and a lack of thorough cleaning. The rooms do not have air conditioning, requiring open windows which let in outside noise. A security alarm was reported going off loudly for no reason on consecutive nights. Parking is not numbered, which could be a problem for those with mobility issues. No breakfast is provided, which was disappointing for some. For a few, it was only good for one night and they would not return.
This is an ideal location with clean rooms and ample parking. Walking to beach or caffeine. Staff is so friendly. Pet friendly with many separate areas. Within 15 minutes to all activities . Only an hour to Santa cruz with the natural bridge. Best food in Monterey

Great experience. Only negative was they badly needed to do their landscaping. Overgrown , weeds, areas with nothing. Otherwise everything was great.

Modest but well cared for cottages just down the road from Asilomar. Reminiscent of Cape Cod. A rare two bedroom find and excellent value. Rooms were clean and walking access to the dunes and downtown Pacific Grove was easy.
