I love working with local, family-owned businesses rather than large chains and big retailers. And I found working with Harminder was awesome. She was ultra-friendly and told us that most of the men's wear is already at their new facility. They are in the process of moving to a new, right nearby, larger showroom. So, we walked over there and she took her time to show us many pieces. I was looking for a nice Sherwani outfit and had plenty to choose from. We went back to the store and met with the seamstress who will be making some slight adjustments - moving some buttons. Their prices are very fair for the beautiful pieces that they have. So excited to have discovered their store.”

“I happened to be in the area yesterday and decided to check out Madewell on the whim. I walked down to the boutique, saw a 20% off sale sign and used this for my first genuine leather jacket purchase. I was in and out of the store under 15 minutes including trying on two sizes and getting rung up at the cashier for my purchase. Thank you to Maria for greeting me within minutes of entering the store, assisting me in the fitting room, and finalizing my purchase at the front counter. I really appreciate that the whole team helped each other communicate applying the discount and then getting a sleeve protector in the back. Everyone was genuinely cordial yesterday, a win-win experience. I would recommend this store for anyone looking for quality or in my case, a nice leather jacket. Madewell in Burlingame :)”

Lu sipi(Lamb cooked in taro leaves)was the best! @least that's exactly how I like my lū.$20 for a plate of 3 entre, which is worth it for me; 2days worth of dinner.I had sapasui, lu sipi, turkey tail, and a side of palusami. I'm always satisfied with the flavors.No room for indoor dining though and one table outside but it was freezing cold. But other than that, this is one of my favorites for poly food.”

“Two Birds is very nicely curated, and I appreciate the effort they have made to get their online shop up and running - definitely provides me with impetus to come in when I see something exciting pop up. However, I am writing this review because the gentleman who helped me and other customers, who is usually working the floor when I go in, is possibly the best sales associate I have ever seen. He is supportive, knowledgeable, honest, and truly seeks to build trust and long-term relationships with clients. I hope the owners know what a gem they have on their hands!”

“Mary has got to be one of the most talented and creative seamstresses I've personally ever met. If you stop in to say hi to her, you'll see a succession of friends and happy clients say hello as they walk by. It's hard not to stop and chat for just a minute, and check on what she's working on at the moment. I've seen everything from a custom gown, reminiscent of the form and structure of a Mcqueen jacket, to a psychedelic jumpsuit made for summer and in honor of her love of roller skating.As for the shop, it's truly a gem and an institution in San Francisco, and a light on the corner of Treat and 24th. Imagine a small atelier, a living representation of the old heart of the Mission. This female owned small business is worth supporting for so many reasons <3** Don't forget to ask if she has any new plants up for adoption, there is always something good around! Suggested donation for the plants is really reasonable too.”
