“If you love plants, this is a great place to visit. If feels much more like a botanical garden then a retail nursery. There are so many unusual plants here. From anywhere you stand in the greenhouses, there were dozens of different kinds of plants within a few feet.”

“Absolutely adore this shop! Fantastic service, beautiful, healthy plants. Purchased soil and it is so dark and smells like earth should!I especially love that pet friendly plants are marked (with adorable paw prints) as both my cat and dog like to graze if they somehow manage to get up to the plants.”

“Beautiful green foliage and succulent varieties starting from $5.00 each. I bought the variegated string of hearts with speckles of white in 4 inch pot for $10.
There’s a row of flowers shop, lavender shop, orchid shop, ceramic pottery shop in the same building or green house. Very cool place to check out on highway 92 if you love plants or to see if you have a green thumb.”

“10/4/2024: I'd been looking forward to visiting Succulence for months, ever since my plant collection exploded with a particular fondness for succulents. I happened to be in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, so decided to finally check them out. Unfortunately, when I arrived I discovered a karate school at the address listed for Succulence. A lady inside told me they had been closed since sometime in June.

The owners have responded to other comments, stating that despite the closure of their brick and mortar store you can still contact them regarding workshops and other events. Closing a business is incredibly difficult, and I'm glad to hear they're still up and running (even if it's at a reduced capacity). To those leaving negative reviews because they arrived to find the store closed: stop. For you it's a minor inconvenience, but for the owners it's so much more. That said, it would be helpful if they added a banner on the website's homepage letting customers know the physical store closed. I wish them the best with their future ventures, and hope I get the opportunity to visit another Succulence location someday.”

“Wonderful diversity of ornamental and fruit trees. Nice selection of herbs, ornamental bushes, and ground covers a well. The owners are super nice and parking is always easy. Nothing I've gotten from here has presented any new pests to my garden.”

“Half Moon Bay Nursery is a great place for a wide variety of plants. With a Native Plant garden, it is my favorite for a selection of healthy, reasonably priced Native plants. Everytime I go, there seems so be more Natives to choose from. I highly recommend it for any type of plants, trees etc.”

“I driven past Silvestri for 60 years and finally stopped in to make a purchase. I was shocked at all the beautiful items in stock right on floor. If your looking for statuary, pots, tables, fountains, just about anything to beautify you house or yard this should be your 1st stop. This is a great place!”

“We purchased a beautiful water fountain from Giannini back in 2014 and had an excellent experience with the whole process. Recently, our fountain started having issues and I contacted Giannini. Alex came through for us and found a time slot in their busy delivery schedule to make a service call (we live 2 ½ hours away). Johnny and his crew not only fixed the issue (a disconnected tube inside the fountain) but they took the fountain apart, replaced old components and even scrubbed off all the algae and calcium build-up. Our fountain is working perfectly again and looks almost brand new! Thank you so much Alex and crew!”

“Great place to exchange co2 tanks for beer brewing. As of the time of this writing (Oct 2023), it costs $25 to exchange a 20 lb tank instead of some ridiculous prices at other places. The people have always been very nice and friendly. Thank you and keep up the good work!”

“Bay Natives is truly unique. An arty nursery where you can see alot of beautiful, native plants grown in a "funky as the old San Francisco" setting. There's places to sit, bring a thermos or a picnic and relax. You can bike there, take a Heron's Head hike, sit at the skate park by the creek on Illinois, visit Building Resources, hear live music at the New Farm which borders City Grazing. Goats, chickens, live music, two gorgeous nurseries, eggs for sale it's a chance to get off your screen and walk around a truly unique area of San Francisco. Worth every second and every dollar thank you!”

“One if the few times I've used their tool rental service. Very efficient staff, Ching was working the desk with another gentleman. I had a choice of clearing a drain myself, I needed a electric snake, or calling a plumber. The choice was clear after calling a few plumbers, when they required a diagnostic fee before proceeding, I already knew the issue, a clogged or obstructed sewer drain. By the time a plumber was called, I had already went to home depot, rented the snake and probably cleared the obstruction in the waste pipe. The choice was clear so I didn't bother to contract with any plumber. If you are in need of tools, home depot may be your source providing you have the ability to use them and the knowledge, but really it may take a little longer but the results are the same.I would use home depot again if it arises that I don't have the tools to complete a job”

“I've been shopping at Pacific Nurseries for over five years now. It has always been one of my favorite places to shop for clients or just browse/brainstorm. The staff has always been incredibly friendly, helpful and honestly fun! In recent years, they've absolutely done a refresh and have gotten the place organized beautifully, and the plants are looking more beautiful and lush than ever. Highly recommend.”

“If you look for plumbing items, I strongly recommend you find name Jo jo on his uniform, I have never seen any employee in Home Depot like him so warmth, professional, and helpful. He resolved my shower room problem perfectly yesterday . I can believe I can still meet such helpful worker in Home Depot, I always feel headache at Home Depot every time if I need help, most of them either so busy or casual, some of them not so acknowledge. I hope every employee in Home Depot learning from Jo Jo, thank you.”

“Important: masks are required to enter. They sell individually wrapped masks at the counter for $1. Oh and cash or checks preferred for all sales; 4% upcharge for credit card.
This is a great nursery to get plants for the multitude of climates in the peninsular bioregion. We live in Foster City and wanted to re-landscape with manzanitas and sagebrushes and this nursery did not disappoint. Prices are reasonable for the area ($16-$20 per 1gal pot). They also have lots of vintage garden stuff, wildflower seeds, and cute decorations.
Five stars for the plant selection and staff friendliness, but -1 star for the cramped spaces and it not being ADA friendly.”

“Excellent as always, the ones from Mexico with more staff and more variety. The variety of this branch is superior in the quality of integral kitchens. In Mexico the kitchens are very basic and tend to be run-of-the-mill”

“I experienced excellent customer service from the staff here, all willing to find answers to my questions. Also, grateful to Mariana who directed me to apply for the Home Depot credit card! Thank you!”
