“If you love plants, this is a great place to visit. If feels much more like a botanical garden then a retail nursery. There are so many unusual plants here. From anywhere you stand in the greenhouses, there were dozens of different kinds of plants within a few feet.”

“Such a pretty place. Don't expect too much plants since they have such a small selection. Kinda on the pricier side too, but it is expected in the city. They sell items that are plant-related as well if you are interested in that.Didn't try their coffee but I like their concept!”

“I have only recently found this place, and what a gem it is!! The plants are beautiful, prices are very reasonable (almost the price of Home Depot, but much better quality), and service is superb! Conor helped us out at check out, and he was very kind and helpful. The nursery has its own parking lot, and the place is large and well organized. We will be purchasing all our plants from here from now on.”

“Fun place to stop for flowers, both cut and potted. They have a back room filled with cut flowers and a side area with a large table where you can assemble your own arrangements. Very conveniently located off of hwy 92 with very friendly staff and plenty of parking.A bit pricey, but you'd expect that for its location. Overall, it's worth a stop when you're in the area. Always support our local vendors and businesses!”

“Lovely out of the way plant store. Attractive and rather busy. Good place to go if you are looking for plants for yard and garden. It's not a flower shop.”

“Heron's Head Nursery feels like a lush oasis. Seriously felt rejuvenated just being there. If I still worked in the Bayview, I would want to go there to hang out and wander around on a regular. They have a wide variety of plants at reasonable prices.Leila and Elliott were both really helpful and pointed out some plants that could be suitable for our yard project. They also mentioned that we should check out Bay Natives next door since we were specifically looking for CA native plants.”

“We purchased a beautiful water fountain from Giannini back in 2014 and had an excellent experience with the whole process. Recently, our fountain started having issues and I contacted Giannini. Alex came through for us and found a time slot in their busy delivery schedule to make a service call (we live 2 ½ hours away). Johnny and his crew not only fixed the issue (a disconnected tube inside the fountain) but they took the fountain apart, replaced old components and even scrubbed off all the algae and calcium build-up. Our fountain is working perfectly again and looks almost brand new! Thank you so much Alex and crew!”

“Great place to exchange co2 tanks for beer brewing. As of the time of this writing (Oct 2023), it costs $25 to exchange a 20 lb tank instead of some ridiculous prices at other places. The people have always been very nice and friendly. Thank you and keep up the good work!”

“This is a nursery where they grow houseplants. The plants are very nice but I thought they were charging high retail prices. I thought it was a wholesale place. Maybe I'm wrong? But the plants at Trader Joe's are just as nice and aren't so pricey. Unlikely that I'll go back. They had some very cute, very small Easter pots that were 99 cents and that's affordable. Would be cute for a small gift or a project for a classroom. I would imagine they have this sort of thing for the other holidays too. I only saw one person working at the cash register and one other who looked like they tended to the plants. No one asked if I needed help. Not a bad thing necessarily because I wasn't buying anything. Four stars because the plants were undeniably great if you can afford them.”

“Bay Natives is truly unique. An arty nursery where you can see alot of beautiful, native plants grown in a "funky as the old San Francisco" setting. There's places to sit, bring a thermos or a picnic and relax. You can bike there, take a Heron's Head hike, sit at the skate park by the creek on Illinois, visit Building Resources, hear live music at the New Farm which borders City Grazing. Goats, chickens, live music, two gorgeous nurseries, eggs for sale it's a chance to get off your screen and walk around a truly unique area of San Francisco. Worth every second and every dollar thank you!”

“If you look for plumbing items, I strongly recommend you find name Jo jo on his uniform, I have never seen any employee in Home Depot like him so warmth, professional, and helpful. He resolved my shower room problem perfectly yesterday . I can believe I can still meet such helpful worker in Home Depot, I always feel headache at Home Depot every time if I need help, most of them either so busy or casual, some of them not so acknowledge. I hope every employee in Home Depot learning from Jo Jo, thank you.”

“I love Pacific Nurseries. They have a wonderful selection of plants especially ones that will do well in San Francisco which is where my garden and development projects are. I always love coming here and hiking around to get inspiration. I have ordered items and have had no problem. I am reading comments here about negative customer service. That may very well be true for them but for me I have only had positive experiences. I am a developer and do my own garden design and don't come here often but I always have a good experience. The only negative is their minimum delivery is $800 so I usually only come here for smaller items that will fit in a truck. Since their delivery fee is so high I go to Devil Mountain in San Ramon for the larger items where shipping is less. Devil Mountain which is not open to the public either is excellent with great customer service and neatly laid out plants. They have a huge selection and its a bigger operation.”

“Definitely the best place on the peninsula for native plants. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff and a great selection of native trees, shrubs, and flowers. Be sure to ask for advice on where and how to plant your purchases to maximize the chances of success. Their web site is well organized for finding inspiration for what to plant. Their prices are reasonable, but be warned only accept cash and checks.”

“One if the few times I've used their tool rental service. Very efficient staff, Ching was working the desk with another gentleman. I had a choice of clearing a drain myself, I needed a electric snake, or calling a plumber. The choice was clear after calling a few plumbers, when they required a diagnostic fee before proceeding, I already knew the issue, a clogged or obstructed sewer drain. By the time a plumber was called, I had already went to home depot, rented the snake and probably cleared the obstruction in the waste pipe. The choice was clear so I didn't bother to contract with any plumber. If you are in need of tools, home depot may be your source providing you have the ability to use them and the knowledge, but really it may take a little longer but the results are the same.I would use home depot again if it arises that I don't have the tools to complete a job”
