What surprised me and makes this organization so special is that they do so much more than simply provide clothing. They help people build confidence, prepare for employment, develop important workplace skills, and ultimately work toward becoming more independent and successful. Providing professional clothing and guidance to someone preparing for an interview or starting a new job can truly make a difference in that person’s life.
I’m always impressed by organizations that don’t just talk about helping the community but actually create opportunities and change lives, and Desert Best Friend’s Closet does exactly that.
They are a wonderful resource for Palm Desert and the entire Coachella Valley, and an organization worth supporting through donations, volunteering, partnerships, or simply spreading the word about the services they provide.

“Stopped in on a very hot day and enjoyed experiencing this store that had a laid back vibe with quality cotton clothes in earthy tones, wicker style handbags, silvery costume jewelry and chic sunglasses. The ladies working in the shop were fun to chat with and were full of sunshine. Nice casual clothes of great quality.”

“I popped into this store today and had so much fun admiring all of the gorgeous ultra bright saturated funwear! I have some vintage Lilly Pulitzer pieces and was thrilled to see this brand is remaining firmly in their solid design roots of joyfulness. You can't look at these clothes without smiling. I visited with Debbie, one of the store's fashionistas who showed me the divine hot pink number that is trending huge on Tik Tok. (I should have snapped a picture of it) The store was a kick and I loved the vibe. They have little girl sizes, too!”
“Whatever Cassie is making, double it immediately! I NEVER shop for clothing, I literally wear clothing from Kohls or Costco because I just never find anything that fits. I walked into WHBM today searching for a nice dress for a company event, immediately thinking I may be “too big/too tall” for anything inside (5’9” and 165lbs, I’ve recently lost a lot of weight so super self conscious) Cassie right away began taking our choices to a fitting room, brought me HEELS to try on with the outfits, and made sure we were comfortable. WHEN I TELL YOU everything fit like a GLOVE! Like it was made for MY BODY! I had tears…not only did I find the PERFECT dress, I found TWO jumpsuits that were long enough for my body (NEVER done before!). I will absolutely be back for casual clothes shopping ???❤️❤️❤️”

“My wife and I shop at your store quite a few times each month. We love your store. It has a clean and neat atmosphere. The store is freshly stocked with new dresses, outfits, blouses and festive dressy outfits. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Amanda (Sales Manager) and Deya (Assistant Sales Manager are the leaders of their Loft team. Julie is Lead Sales of Jackie and Gigi. We received such personal care from all of the Loft Team. They have a great Rewards Program. Great Sales. Great if they don't have your size they will order the merchandise and ship it to your house for free. Complete customer service. “This store sells a nice selection of casual clothes that are of good quality and nice details. The colors are a 'happy' palette and caters to women of all sizes. I shop here for gifts for my Mom who is in her 80's and she always raves about J. Jill's clothes. This store is set back from the main road (El Paseo) and it is bright, cheerful and well organized. The staff are 10 out of 10 stars!”
