“ALC Preschool has been such a special place for our child. From the start, it felt warm, welcoming, and like a true community that genuinely cares about the kids. The teachers are kind and attentive, and they take the time to understand each child and support them at their own pace.
We used to drive 45 minutes to another school, and looking back, I really wish we had found ALC sooner.
What stands out most is the environment the school creates. Learning happens naturally through art, play, and hands-on activities, which encourages the kids to explore their interests and grow in confidence. Our child often talks about school, friends, and teachers at home, which reflects how much they enjoy being there.
The community aspect is another highlight. Parents are friendly and involved, and the kids are confident, interactive, and comfortable with others. It’s common for them to come say hi, share stories, or show their artwork, which makes the experience feel very personal and connected.

“Review for The Academy at Manhattan Beach: Bright Horizons
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Bright Horizons in Manhattan Beach! My son attended from ages 2 to 4, and he absolutely thrived there. The teachers are incredibly caring, patient, and truly invested in each child’s growth. Every day, he came home excited to tell me about the fun activities, songs, and lessons he learned. The environment is warm, welcoming, and feels like an extension of home.
Now, my daughter has been attending, and we have been just as happy with her experience. The only reason we are leaving is that they don’t offer infant care for our youngest, and it’s simply easier for our family to have both children at the same school. Otherwise, we would stay in a heartbeat!
On top of the amazing teachers, the center director and staff are absolutely fantastic—always helpful, communicative, and going above and beyond to make sure families feel supported.
If you’re looking for a nurturing, engaging, and loving daycare, I highly recommend The Academy in Manhattan Beach. We are so grateful for the amazing foundation they’ve given our children! We will truly miss them!”

We were referred by some friends who had great things to say and then found out a coworker had also sent their kids there and also thought highly of it. The staff are loving and care for the kids. It also has pretty long hours. We sent our first two to another place but had to change due to distance and have been pretty happy here as well.”

“Savoir Faire was an incredible daycare for our child, who started in the infant classroom at 5 months and continued through the toddler program until turning 2. The teachers (maestras) are so caring and kind. We felt extremely comfortable every day dropping our baby off. They communicate well with parents and the school is safe and very clean. Had we not moved away from the area, we would still be taking our child there today! Savoir Faire has something special... they've set a very high bar for childcare. We loved the Spanish immersion, which felt like an added bonus on top of what is just a genuinely great daycare and preschool program.”

“So many of our friends’ children attended Beach Cities Montessori, so when our oldest was ready to transition from a toddler program into preschool, we toured several schools. From the very first visit, Beach Cities Montessori just felt different. Every single person — from the teachers and staff to the security guard — made us feel safe, welcomed, and truly at home.
We are now heading into our second year at the school, and it has become more like a family than anything else. Our son is excited to go to school each day. He comes home proud of what he has learned and often tells us he had “the best day ever.” Watching his confidence, independence, and love of learning grow has been incredible.
Beyond the classroom, we’ve also built meaningful friendships with other families. Our son has formed sweet friendships that continue outside of school, and we feel so grateful for the community this school has given us.

My daughter Kyla is reading at 1st & 2nd grade Levels and already doing double digit addition & subtraction at 5 years old. Ms. Pauline is a gift from Jesus himself! He had had a bad experience at another school before we decided to join L&B, and we were anxious when we first visited. Miss Jeong invited him to join her class on that first tour visit, and he was immediately comfortable with Miss Jeong and therefore so were we. Every single day he and we have experienced nothing but love, guidance, support, and challenges to help him grow and mature. Miss DeJahnae, thank you for your leadership of the center and also for your academic lessons, his skills have improved greatly thanks to your hard work. And I believe the culture of the center starts with you as the leader, and as a parent, the culture of your center is what I want for him.
Stem, and Mr. Hunter, have made, I believe, a lifelong impression on him, that science and learning can be FUN and FASCINATING!
