I feel sorry for the few employees that still work there. They are the ones that have to deal with the upset customers who have to stand in long lines just to get some help or have a question answered. No one answers the phone anymore. You have a better chance of getting through the line when calling the DMV. Had to wait in line for 30 minutes just to have the one employee working the register open up the pedal cabinet so that I can try out a few pedals. Saw one that I liked, over $200 but then saw the line at the register and said never mind and left the store. Guitar Center Hollywood - all I can say is WOW! Totally night and day compared to Pasadena. Customer service the way I remembered. Awesome. Drove about an hour in traffic to Hollywood just to get a Strymon and didn't mind it one bit. GC Pasadena, get rid of your rude managers and hire more floor people. You can get two floor people by getting rid of one rude manager. Just sayin.

If every employee was as kind, informative, and fun to talk to as Evan was, I'd be doing a lot more buying here. My last couple of visits were tough, but having Evan help me resulted in a good purchase and great experience. He may be the last great customer service person on the planet, let alone at Guitar Center.

I've had good experience going in- it's a smaller store with a bit less inventory. I was able to sell some used instruments. I can't recommend trying to call They don't seem to have time to pick up often. I just tried & it rang for 5 minutes before i gave up.

Just want to say how much I love this Guitar center. Their rep Evan in Pro Audio is amazing and everytime I come there he's so polite, helpful and knowledgable. You dont get that same experience ordering online from Amazon. These are real people and they are passionate about music which is huge. Ive been coming to this Pasadena location for 10 years and went to my first guitar center almost 30 years ago and got my first guitar and am still a hugely satisfied customer. Long live local guitar shops and brick and mortar places that allow for us creatives to fantasize about our newest toy and dream about owning that special something! Cheers to you guys.

Terrible service and low inventory makes it a drag to go to. Phone ringing with no one answering it.

I got there at 10am to drop off my guitar. I waited at the maintenance area where the employees walked by me for about 15 minutes until someone finally bothered to ask me what I was waiting for. I was told that the guitar wouldn't be ready until the afternoon. Then, I called the store to see if I could pick it up. The phone rang for ***over twenty minutes*** before someone picked it up. When I asked why did it take over twenty minutes for someone to pick the phone up, the lady on the other end hung up on me. When I asked them what was going on, they gave me five or six different excuses, from a remodel to bad computer systems to not enough employees. I'm including a screenshot of proof that I waited over twenty minutes while the phone rang. I asked to speak with the manager and there was no manager there. I asked that the manager call me tomorrow when he gets in. The employee said he'll let the manager know. We'll see if that actually happens.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Guitar Center Of Glendora for providing excellent Service with my Guitar needs. I took 2 guitars in for some tune up Service on Chistmas Eve. and met a gentleman named Daniel at the tepair Tech counter. Daniel was very knowledgeable and generous spending time to answer my questions and help educate me on getting the best quality sound from my guitars and corrected the neck alignment. Amazing work Daniel..! Thank You. I'll be back for more gear soon.! "Jon B."

You have to answer the phone during business hours, not doing so is totally unacceptable. I called 4 times from 11am to 12pm and let the phone ring for over 3 minutes each time!!!!! F#^k Guitar Center!!!!

Very poor customer service and management. The last 3 times I have visited the store (during November), I could not find an employee to help me. Last week I stood at the main counter with 3 other people for about 10 minutes. No employees anywhere to be found. No manager in the office. Finally I walked over the piano section and found an employee. He just shrugged his shoulders, said Guitar Center is short-staffed, and told me he was too busy in the piano department to leave, I left the store as did several others. Two nights ago, I dropped by again, this time in the evening (hopefully better customer service) to buy a piece of equipment. Nope!! No change. Customers waiting for help: no employees. After about 10 minutes, an employee came to the desk. I asked if she could help me with a piece of equipment to buy. Her answer: "I don't do that: you have to bring it here. I only check people out at the register." The piece of equipment I wanted required a ladder to get to. Manager's office empty. I left the store.

This review is for the lady who works here with long black hair and some purple strand with eyeglasses. She was very mean. She didnt want to help us check out our new guitar that we just purchased and told us we should tune our own guitar and just walked away!!

Located on the further east end of Colorado Blvd in Pasadena this music store has quite a variety of Drums, Guitars, Bass Guitars, some percussion, lots of keyboards (synths, electric pianos and midi keyboards. A variety of studio speakers as well as venue speakers and a lot of misc items (guitar straps, tuners , picks, strings, lights etc) if your looking for a nice selection of wind or brass instruments this would not be the place though I'm sure they could probably order such items for you.The staff was cordial, but didn't see too many around and they didn't bother us while we visited the store which was nice. Prices were about the same as all the other major music store chains

The man working here was so knowledgeable & kind! He helped me to understand the specific piece that was broken on the ukulele (which I knew nothing about) and explained his process for fixing it.The time that he took to talk to me and explain what was wrong was worth it’s weight in gold! It’s so rare to go into a business and have a conversation with someone who is a master of their craft. This was how I felt leaving here - like I was lucky to have been able to speak to this man & learn from him!

Bought equipment on Nov 7 and is Nov 14 and the equipment is still in California. Don’t buy at this store. I bought equipment in different locations the same day and all the stores shipped fast except this one.

The employees of this store have most definitely found a way to ignore phone calls entirely. I've been trying to get through for 2 weeks straight, and I called them almost 20 times today. You'd think they'd have time to answer on a Monday at noon, but I guess not.
