Love my FCU they worked with me to get the loan I needed for my new vehicle, I spoke with loan agent Brianda Teresa, who is an absolute sweetheart, so helpful, kind and supportive I was able to call her and get extra help with any issues I had. Thank you PFCU.

Despite the benefits of banking with a credit union, I am continually frustrated with PFCU. My first bad experience was very bad. The short version: in 2022, I spoke with three people who assured me that my PFCU ATM card would work while traveling overseas for two months. I expressed my concern that my ATM card does not have a chip as nearly every credit/debit/ATM card has for years. Before I left, three people on three separate occasions assured me that my ATM card would work. Well, with a 16 hour time difference, I learned the very hard way to not take people at their word regardless of how much money you have in their vaults.Today however, I am deeply frustrated that two Bill Payments I scheduled on Monday Dec 25 did not go through. The PFCU site showed that they would go through by Friday Dec 29. Of course now that it's after their operating hours, there is no one to call for help. Once again I am left to my own devices to figure out how to access my money. Why is your system like this? How is your business really serving your customers?

Used to loooove PFCU. Everyone is so rude now. Terrible customer service. What happened to all of the great people we had at the old location? I want to change, they’re extremely rude and too hard to deal with honestly.

Worst banking institution in America. Let me explain why. My mother who is 94 and has had dementia since 2017 and is in memory care and does not have a phone CANNOT cancel her old credit card. Despite talking to representatives and writing letters she still get emails to my account as her POA saying she has an active account and balance. We cannot confirm it. Such a poorly run company. I gave two stars because why not.

I recommend PFCU when it comes to Auto Loans, Refinancing and Rates, they are great, but the Customer Service has dropped off since they moved to the new location. I have experienced poor customer service and rudeness twice when calling in. Other family members have experienced poor customer service inside of the bank. Not sure what happened, but it's not acceptable.

I called to apply for an auto loan and was recommended to come in for faster service than apply7ing online. I was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff, especially Patricia and walked out with loan approval within an hour. Maybe not apples to apples but II wish our home refinance had got this smoothly with B of A. it took months even though our credit scores were over 800 Phil M

We chose PFCU because we wanted to bank locally and be seen as people instead of dollars and cents. That hasn’t quite been the case in the two years we have been customers and has only worsened. The website and app interfaces are neither intuitive nor user-friendly, and as others have stated the customer service here is less focused on the customer and more focused on the ego of whoever answers the phone. If you want to find out what your account number is, you have to either decipher a convoluted series of disparate numbers or call in during arguably narrow operating hours. The reason you can’t simply read your own account number via browser or app? “Security”.Never mind that you have already submitted your username and password to prove you are who you are. You still are not permitted to read your account numbers. We have called in several times and spoken with a few different people at this location to suggest making their site and app more user-friendly. Each has basically said they will "make a note of it" but there has been no substantive change on either the website or app in two years.Recently we called and spoke with Denise. She not only talked over us repeatedly as we asked questions but gave mostly curt answers. She made us feel as though local customers with three accounts and a credit card were nothing but a nuisance to her. Our call lasted ten minutes. It was not as though we were keeping her on the phone all day or through her lunch break. Her tone said otherwise. It’s normal to at times become annoyed with a questioning customer. However if you are someone working in customer service, patience and grace are part and parcel of your position no matter if you are entry-level or supervisory. If it were not for the good rate we get with our savings account we would take our money elsewhere, and to that point we are keeping our options very open.As an aside, if you travel abroad be sure to not depend on their ATM card. It will not work. Our honeymoon was made extraordinarily stressful because we were given bad information by three people. That is a whole other story.-1 Star for poor Web/app Interface-2 Stars for poor Customer Service

Kind people. Unfortunately, my card was compromised and they took care of that situation immediately. The down side is they no longer offer temporary cards, I have to wait for a replacement card in the mail which could take up to 10 business days. I need to be able to access my money at any given moment.

Staffing at the new location is terrible. Today I waited in line 30 minutes while only one person intermittently staffed the window. All other windows were closed and the staff kept going to a desk (and not serving customers). The staffing at the Fair Oaks location was great, and I wrote positive reviews. The staff was friendly as well. No longer. The staff are unfriendly, slow and unhelpful. You need to hire back the former staff or train the new staff. Their attitudes and skills are poor.

I just opened a savings account with them, and it turns out they run your credit in order to open a bank account. I didn't apply for a credit card or a loan but just for a bank account, and you made a hard hit on my credit report? To take my money you have to check my credit? You should beg people to bring their money to you, not check their credit. Had I known it, I would never deal with you. Now I am spreading the word. Beware people. There are thousands of banks that would happily open a bank account for you without checking any credit reports.

As another reviewer stated, this bank does something extremely unusual: they run a HARD INQUIRY on your credit report when you apply for a bank account. I've applied to many large banks and credit unions to open checking and savings accounts before, and this is the first a hard inquiry was used. A soft inquiry is standard for opening a deposit account, not a hard inquiry. I've tried asking PFCU to remove it, but they haven't been helpful at all so far. They don't even seem to understand the difference between a hard and soft credit inquiry. That's not a good sign when these people are supposed to understand the basics of banking and finance. The unusual hard inquiry and subsequent lack of customer service are reasons enough for me to not bank here, but there are others, too. The online interface is absolute garbage, especially bill pay. There is no Zelle support. I also couldn't link my my new account to Venmo or Fidelity using Plaid—I thought about contacting their support team about this, but based on my other interactions with them, it's unlikely they even know what Plaid is.In sum: You should open a bank account somewhere that has good customer service, a decent online interface, and competent staff. PFCU doesn't have any of these.

The Director I spoke to was Rude and would not try to help since my father's driver's license expired. Suggestion take a 90 year old man to DMV and get it updated.

If I can give 0 stars I would. Kathy Tichenor is a terrible chief lending officer who has no empathy of working for approval. I try explaining and work it out but she hangs up because she does not want to work things out. Never picks up the phone and is terrible at communication.
