Words cannot express how much I despise Kaiser as an institution, and, in particular, this location. Kaiser is "healthcare" in the same sense that McDonald's is "food". And just like McDonald's, too much Kaiser is bad for you. Let me put it to you this way: I went through cancer with Kaiser, and you want to know the entirety of expert consultation I received while having active cancer at Kaiser? A 15 minute phone call with a surgeon. I have since transferred my care to UCSF, and my first appointment with a world class specialist in my rare and former diagnosis, as a recovered patient who is "No Evidence of Disease" and just needs recurrence monitoring, was over an hour. UCSF is going to check for a de novo mutation in my genetics that may have led to this cancer (something Kaiser thought wasn't necessary), and put together integrative therapies for me, (something Kaiser doesn't have). UCSF also does periodic whole body MRIs, because sometimes when this type of cancer recurs, it springs up in different parts of the body, not the primary site of the first onset. This is something that was never on the table with Kaiser. Because MRIs are expensive, and Kaiser doesn't like to spend money. At Kaiser, I was not even so much as referred to an oncologist - my entire cancer experience was *managed by primary care*. It was horrific. That should tell you everything you need to know. I suppose it's part of the danger that's inherent with having your insurance carrier also be your provider network. Proceed with caution.

It's a Kaiser pharmacy, you know what you're getting into even visiting. Depending on the time, it'll be busy or it'll be a quick thing

DIOKNO, DENNIS BONDAD (M.D.) This doctor was the most miserable, anxiety inducing, insensitive doctor I have ever been to. I went in to see him for an ongoing health problem that I have had. During our appointment, he was visibly angry and impatient. I asked him if HE was okay and if HE had a long day. And he told me "Everyday is hell on earth" ... what! Mind you, I had terrible anxiety and was in need of a professional doctor. I said "that is not the best energy for me to be around" and he put his finger up without looking at me and said "give me a minute" he went back to typing abruptly. He then proceeded to kick me out of the room, so he could raise his voice, and take out his misery, ON MY 62 YEAR OLD MOTHER. That's right! He never addressed his prior behavior to me, and then kicked me straight out to yell at my senior aged mother. What did he yell at her for, you might ask? she was having a peaceful conversation with a patient in the waiting room about Masks. Which apparently is illegal. I heard him yelling at her through the door. So I walked in and said "what is going on?" He then walked out of the room and then we left. Feeling terrible. The whole staff seemed miserable, and I can see why! This guy needs a divorce or a vacation. Either way, he should not be treating people for anything. PERIOD.

Even with a power outage / brown-out, they did their best. I’ve seen them work around patients seizing in the lobby, and they’ve always done their best every time I’ve gone there.

Kaiser Petaluma has a good lab, good pharmacy except they aren't open weekends, there are 60,000 people in Petaluma, I think they need to open their pharmacies on the weekend. Kaiser Mental Health Services have been sued repeatedly, so Kaiser just factors law suits into their budget because they are not improving their "services" and it isn't as though patients aren't paying for services. Kaiser administrative services in Marin, Petaluma and Santa Rosa are frightening. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT ANYBODY IS DOING, 1 in oh, 30 calls you might get a competent person on the phone. You leave messages for a provider and the message isn't ANYTHING LIKE WHAT YOU REPORTED. I used to live in San Francisco and Kaiser there puts Marin, Petaluma and Santa Rosa to shame. The doctors in Santa Rosa are great, support admin, nope.

Some of the office staff are very rude and look down on some people especially that younger Spanish and English speaking lady . She laughs behind my back too . I think she is super sweet to her own spanish speaking people only . I just pray she is not there when I go there . We pay so much money every month and some of these peo who are so lucky to get job there treats us as if they are our boss and we are getting free treatments

Kaiser Pharmacy used to be really great at mailing my drugs IN A TIMELY MANNER. About 4 weeks ago, I put in an online order, as usual....2 weeks of Crickets. Tried again about a week later. Still nothing. Put the order thru by ph. several days later. BIG FAT ZERO. Called and talked to a Pharmacist who said that my order would now be sent. STILL NOTHING a week later and no indication that it had been sent when we checked the UPS tracking. Called today when we saw that UPS had nothing headed my way and was told that my credit card had been declined. A CALL ON THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE.

March 6, 2023- Covid-19 restrictions have ended. However, there's a small sign at the main entrance that says "Cover Nose and Mouth." Hmm, how do you do that? Well, I simply put on a mask. Staff was super friendly and helpful giving me directions. I had no problems here.

Most convenient and organized location. Tremendously understaffed due to doctor/staff shortages, but their doctors and nurses are absolutely the best, and are trying hard to keep up with the growing numbers of older sicker patients that require longer appointment times.

The Optometrist department is wonderful. Everyone who works there is very kind. They're the reason this review isn't a 1 star. The pharmacy is a mess. I was told my medication would take 15 more minutes as I had placed my pickup online. I was there for an hour. They skip many people and kind of just call out whoever they find. I got back into the line in order to pick up my stuff. I saw several people who came in after me, they waited in the same line I did, leave before me. The staff are pretty patient though as I heard them having a difficult time with another patient. I could hear... everything. Which is terrible if you have a medication you don't want other people knowing about. I had to put in my AirPods and do my best not to pay attention as I also needed to see if they would call for me. I don't plan on picking up my medications from this location again.

I would like to personally thank Dr John Damon for scheduling a visit on such a short notice. Our daughter Bonnie has been very sick for about a week. Sick enough to the point where her mother had to take her to the ER the other night in Santa Rosa to be exact Santa Rosa Kaiser. I'd like to make it public I don't recommend taking your children there. My daughter was treated like a parasite because she was coughing. She was coughing to the point where we were extremely concerned for her and worried about her well-being. I was surprised to hear from her mother that they were sent home and told just to have a follow-up appointment with her regular doctor. That she has a slight case pneumonia but does not need any antibiotics and that her ears look good. She was seen by an older Asian man at the Santa Rosa ER. It was between the time of 1-3 PM on October 12th last Wednesday. Back to seeing Dr Damon today. He was extremely surprised to see that my daughter is in a deteriorating condition. He said that if she would have went on she could have died and developed serious bacteria problems in her lungs and that she has a serious case of pneumonia and two very bad ear infections that need antibiotics as soon as possible. I don't really have words to describe how I feel right now that would be appropriate for Yelp. I want to make sure that I publicly thank Dr Damon for taking the time to give my daughter a professional and caring visit and not treating her like A parasite because she has a cough. A 4-year-old should be taking a little bit more seriously especially in an emergency room and not thrown in the back room because they're coughing. Maybe the emergency room should come down to Petaluma and see how things get ran and how people get treated and learn a thing or two. I'm going to be sure to get a hold of corporate and continue filing a complaint. I'm not on Yelp to file a complaint with Kaiser I'm here to publicly notify people of my experience the bad one in Santa Rosa and the good one in Petaluma. I really hope that no more children are treated like this let alone anybody.

There are 3 types of handicapped status: permanent, conditional, and temporary. I know this because my employer requires everyone in the org have handicap training. I don't work in a hospital - I work in tech. Surely Kaiser does the same, right? I have MS. I haven't had an exacerbation in over 20 years. I recently had one that rendered my right side unusable. I couldn't walk. I couldn't use my right arm. KAISER ONLY HAS WHEELCHAIRS THAT HAVE TO BE PUSHED. I COULDN'T MANEUVER IT IF I WANTED TO. Grocery stores have electric chairs. Amusement parks have self wheeled wheelchairs. Why would a hospital where people in various stages of handicap visit fail to offer wheelchairs for access into and around the facilities without help if they don't have anyone available to push those chairs? Easy Bay Kaiser has such a program in place that you can request a wheelchair when visiting the facilities. I know this NOW. After the fact. The security guard showed me where the wheelchairs were but how could I move it without wheels on the sides to maneuver with my ONE working hand/arm? Writing this makes me so frustrated and sad all over again. I felt helpless that day. It didn't have to happen. I went there for nothing. No one could help me because no one was around. Frustrating. Things the able bodied people who make decisions at this Kaiser facility neglected to consider for their members. Again: The wheelchairs can only be pushed. There was no one to assist with this. I wasted my time and effort going there. My appointment time was wasted. No one met the objective that day. Sigh. Do better.

I've had Kaiser all my life. I've been a patient at almost all the Bay Area locations. This one is by far the most convenient. Parking is easy and appointments are generally easy to get. I enjoy the ability to email docs, saving me from having to visit or go in to ask for a prescription. I enjoy the prescriptions being mailed to my house because their pharmacy is a nightmare, no matter what time of day. Pediatrics nurses are awesome, but we haven't had a good pediatrician since Hensley retired. I had to change my adult dr a few times before finding someone I meshed with. Their psychiatric dept is by far the WORST I have ever dealt with when our son was a teen. I mean really horrible- 2 months out for an app & if you asked to move it up- they would just tell you to go to ER. Quite unacceptable. Just like anything- you have to be your own advocate. But this place is convenient.

I think Kaiser has a perfect model for healthcare. If I have an issue they are responsive and all the people in the departments I have encountered have been great. Their systems are exceptional for everything from preventative care, drug ordering, making appointments, messaging with your doctors, viewing test results, and maintaining your historical medical record, I can't really portend how a medical system could be any more complete and effective. My hats off to Kaiser Permanente

Thanks a lot for slamming the pharmacy door in my wife's face at 5.55pm. Supposed to close at 6pm. She is sick and needs the meds the doc ordered. Really poor impression. 6pm closing is 6pm closing.
