Great over all experience. Will definitely return in the future. Walking distance to town and other events. The only reason I gave the rooms 4 stars was the bathroom. Someone needs to attend to the toilet and tub wall.

My biggest regret is not staying in this hotel sooner! As a lifelong Francofile who constantly dreams of being in France, this place is a miracle. In many ways, it's as close as we can get here in the US to the experience of being at a boutique hotel in France - once you are inside the gates. From the moment you enter the front door you are immersed in the sounds and sites of French life. Each artifact that surrounds you in the common areas feels lovingly and intentionally selected. And the room we stayed in had the kind of little touches only a true French person could add. The Metro lets you enter and make the experience what you want it it to be - it's like a sand box that way. A do-it-yourself type adventure. We loved it and can't wait to come back!
If the owners happened to read this, I have the matching couch to the leather one by the grand dining table and would love to give it to you to add to your collection!

Came for the weekend for the annual Antiques Faire. Such a cute & cozy spot. The accomodations of our 2 queen bed suite was perfect for my friend and I. Great location with close proximity to downtown Petaluma and just a 3 min. stroll to Sax's joint (great for breakfast and lunch). If you decide to opt for the breakfast at the Metro, their in house cafe is amazing. Delicious crepes hot off the griddle with cut up fresh fruit, Nutella, whip cream or jam/preserve options. Fresh coffee, boiled eggs and a delicious sliced cake bread😋 The staff were friendly and gracious. There were bocce ball courts, lovely sitting areas and available bike rentals on the property. Oh I can go on and on. Overall Metro Hotel & Cafe is just a lovely quirky place that we absolutely adored. I definitely will be back!!

Last weekend, I spent Saturday night at the Metro Hotel &Cafe in Petaluma, California and it was wonderful. The hotel decor and ambiance was great. The front desk staff displayed excellent customer service . The hotel has a good vibe and has great character. I felt very comfortable in my room and outside. I highly recommend this place to family and friends making a trip up north.

It's Friday, I'm in love.... with the Metro Hotel! My friend told me about this place as it's her favorite and I can see why. It's perfectly located near downtown. The motel parking and checking in/out was a synch. We were upgraded to a suite, lucky us and thank you!!
The pour over coffee, muah 🤌🏼 and the crepe bar was yum. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was cozy and clean. The bed is extremely comfortable with a down duvet and down pillows. The ambience is something out of a magazine, I just might have to change the decor in my house to match it. It's my new favorite place and I will recommend to everyone.

Great little place with a European flare! Ambiance was very period specific. Our shower was in a child-size clawfoot tub and it was quite narrow. Get ready to pay $2.00 per coffee pod for your in-room coffee and $5.00 for breakfast. But beyond that, nice place. I'll go there again.

We loved our stay at the Metro! The middle of downtown Petaluma is an easy ten minute walk. We stayed in the two room suite: both rooms were well appointed, had comfortable beds, and nice amenities. Breakfast was lovely. My parents are still talking about the excellent service (they are early risers and really appreciated 6am access to the coffee bar), fun decor, and are already planning their next stay, this time in one of the airstreams!

I happened to find this gem when researching hotels in Petaluma that were close near downtown and this one did not disappoint at all. I was originally drawn in due to how unique it was in the area and their great reviews. I arrived late and they called me to check-in when I didn’t arrive at the time stated on the reservation, when I didn’t get to the phone in time, they then sent me a detailed message and video on how to get in (what great customer service!!) and the room they gave me was sooo cozy and well stocked. When I checked out, I was greeted by Ally and the owner who were both so gracious and kind, encouraging me to come visit again and try more of the rooms 🥰. Throughout the process of staying there, I noticed that this hotel has that home away from home feel more than a lot of hotels I’ve stayed at. Will definitely be back when in town again, thank you so much for everything!

We prefer the charm and uniqueness of boutique hotels when traveling and the Metro Hotel delivers in spades. They were particularly accommodating to our weather related change in plans and even provided us with an upgrade! Very clean, well appointed, affordable and walkable to downtown Petaluma. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff were an absolute delight. The entire experience was extremely positive and we will definitely stay there again and encourage others to as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Metro! Great location, adorable rooms, and fantastic customer service. The citrus/olive trees are a nice Sonoma County touch!
With that being said, please note there are limited rooms for traveling with dogs. I recommend calling the hotel ahead of time to double check! We were lucky enough with assistance of Metro to stay a second night on our travels (booked separately) in the dog friendly room but that is not guaranteed. If you do get a chance when traveling, I highly recommend the pet friendly room as it has a fenced off area and a patio for you to enjoy a drink and let your pup out in privacy!
All in all, thank you to Metro for a fantastic stay.

I recently took a trip to Petaluma with my partner for the weekend and decided to stay at the Metro hotel. It was a wonderful stay. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from everything I wanted to see in the downtown Petaluma, and I found the check-in/check-out process to be easy to navigate. The owner was very nice, and we had a delicious breakfast with great coffee in the morning. It was a great place to stay while exploring Petaluma.

fantastic room, service, and location! loved the all-you-can-eat crepes and the giant tvs in the room. we were only able to stay for one night but would love to book again next time we’re in the area.

I adore this small hotel. I prefer local spots over chains and you can believe you are in France when you stay here. I live in the Bay Area and occasionally like a quick getaway and DIY writing retreat. I've been to Metro a couple of times and will be back soon. And so reasonably priced!

Usually book rooms at more mainstream chain hotels, but curiosity led me to take a chance and try something different! And, so glad I did. Very clean accommodations and lots of fun. Interesting and curious artifacts around the property to admire. Fabulous location just in downtown Petaluma, also close to highway 101. Definitely will recommend to friends!
