“I dropped in by the Wild Bird Station in Auburn,CA. Even though the address is on Grass Valley Highway, the shop is tucked back in the shopping plaza. It's easy peasy to find and there is lots of parking spots. Great local owned small business selling bird feed, feeders, bird houses, bird nature guides and books, garden art, and decorative kitchen ware and gifts and then some. It was my first time here. I was lucky enough to meet the owner. He has been in business for 29 years. Besides being super knowledgeable about birds and the local areas, he was just a super cool person to talk to. They sell birdseed by the pound. They have about 12 varieties of seed priced from $1.50-$2.59. The inventory is current and the shop is clean and decorated in a fun, fresh way. The item that caught my eye was the $9.95 laminated compact foldable field guide of art illustrated birds with descriptions. Well one of the many items that caught my eye. Drop on by, you may find something that catches your fancy.”
“Wonderful experience! Kind, friendly people. Purchased a couple bales of wheat straw and they made it so easy. Young guy walked the extra distance to my trailer in the parking lot so I wouldn't have to back my truck and trailer. Really appreciate the great service. Thank you and I'll be back!”

“I brought my dog in to use the self wash station. She had lost the use of her back legs and had also become incontinent and was getting her last bath before we had to put her down. As I walked to the front to pay, I became very emotional. The 2 young ladies working asked if I was okay and I lost my composure. They were so sweet and concerned and offered their assistance and condolences. Thank you for your care during this incredibly difficult time”

We adopted one of our cats from the kittens crossing that runs a cat adoption agency and loved how we were able to interact with the kittens”
“I've shopped at various Tractor Supply shops but this one seems to have the most knowledgeable and friendliest staff on average.
On my last visit, I was looking for particular gardening container and patio set that they carried last year. I described the look of both items, the person we spoke to remembered the stock. But he stated the spring inventory will be coming in a few weeks as well as the baby chicks. He also helped us with livestock tanks which were on sale. Another associate spoke to us about the insulated cooler we were eyeing. No hard sell just a conversation about the item. That too was on sale at a great price. But by golly, I gotta stay focused in this shop. Lots of great brands, good prices. I can get carried away. Hubs struck up a conversation with another associate, they spoke about all the past businesses at this location while discussing the gas griddles and bbqs. Again not in the market for a gas griddle, that too was on sale, over 20% off.
But I gotta say, the women's restroom could use an upgrade in the toilets and addition of toilet seat covers.”

“Perfect place to board your dogs. Lots of play time and sometimes dogs get to mingle in the office area with the staff. Big play area and cozy boarding stalls with a small outdoor run attached. The staff is awesome and if you need any vacs for your pet they can do it right there.”
