As banks go, I've been pretty happy with Mechanics Bank. One of the few that allow Recipient Payee accounts. Also have an IRA CD that I can deposit to. It seems each branch is very slow paced. Be prepared to spend some time there.

Great customer service. Especially Pam, she's the best. Too bad that the Rodeo branch closed, but having this bank here is great. The parking lot is awful but other than that, I'm glad to be a customer. The checking account options are much better than where I was at previously.
