When I walked up they could see how stressed I was and when I told them my situation they made it a priority to get my car taken care of. I'm terrible with remembering names, but the kind woman in the office made me feel more at ease. Thankfully, I was able to make it back home to Sacramento safe and sound that same day. “I have used this shop twice and will recommend it to everyone. It is a warm family business which cares for the client as well as the car. When the car is returned it is absolutely spotless inside and out. The repairs make the car look brand new and they stand behind their work. I had a special interaction this time. I got a call telling me that when they took the seats out to clean up the glass from the break in, they found an envelope under one seat with money. They locked it up until I could come for it. The thieves never found it because it fell through the crack between the seat and the console.”

I finally called them today after calling two other placed who used the same dispatch. This dispatch said they were sending a tow truck but I waited 90 mins and no truck. No one called me back. They took my credit card info and threatened me with cancellation fees. I was so relieved when Speed sent an actual truck in less than half an hour.”

“I was stranded on the side of CA-37 after dark, on a Sunday night, and after no response from AAA for over 2.5 hours, the CHP officer with me called for a tow truck. Roger from Gibb's towing responded in less than 20 mins. He had my big van hooked up and on its way home to SAcramento (75 miles away). He brought it right to my door at 11:30 pm and parked as I asked. I don't hesitate in recommending this company and its service.”

“CHP called the company to tow my car after I was in a 4 car pile up on I-80 around midnight. Robert came to tow the car. He was very focused and professional getting by car on the tow truck(it was not easy with my front axle broken and no functioning wheel) But I am most impressed with the service. My phone was out of battery and Robert not only let me use his phone but had me wait in the truck instead of outside in the cold until my ride got there. The next day when I had to come by and get my stuff out of the car, Lenny was equally thoughtful and helpful as my car was tilted and unsafe. He efficiently got a crane, pulled it up to a safe position and gave very important tips so I wouldn’t forget my garage opener on the visor and get the right pictures for my insurance. “I had a positive experience with Checkers Towing. Got lost trying to find it and saw a Checkers driver picking up a car. He paused his work to kindly give me directions to the yard. Once I got there the young man in the office who helped me was polite and professional. I was directed to my car so I could pick up my belongings. “Quite frankly, I think I was lucky or something but there’s a few people here who seem to have had a bad experience, for me I had my driver show up to pull my car out of a ditch after I hydroplaned. Unfortunately my car had some damage due to me smacking straight into the guard rail but luckily I had a pro tower named Juan who maneuvered my challenger right out of there. literally a 2.5 ton car and to be honest the job looked like it needed a second tow truck and somehow he pulled it off with his 1 and finished in less than 10 minutes plus extra points since he was easy to talk to. 10/10 best tow and the dispatch time was only 25 mins. definitely recommending to my parents and the rest of my friends”

“Car broke down in Vallejo. My roadside assistance couldn't find anyone to tow me back to Sacramento. I called this company, they gave me a quote. The driver told me he would be at my location at a certain time and he came pretty close to that time. They told me that I would have to pay extra if "special equipment" is used. I thought they meant tow equipment, as far as hooking the car up. When he got there, he used a portable battery jumper to drive it onto the tow truck. I was charged for that and it caught me off guard. I explained this to the driver and he basically ignored what I said. I explained it to the dispatcher the next day and she did the same. Besides that, the experience was decent and I would use them again if I needed to.”
