Edgewater Inn & Suites is a very big hotel with a perfect and great location, very close to the ocean and downtown with direct beach access. The staff is friendly, very nice, and very good, going out of their way to accommodate. Customer service is great. The hotel is super old from the 1940's, very tired and very worn, and in need of a general upkeep and update. Rooms are motel-grade and clean, but the hotel needs a complete gut. The common areas, pool, and hot tub are popular but can be easily overcrowded. Amenities include a laundromat, and coffee, cookies, and cold water available all day. The main problem noted is the value for the price, with the hotel feeling more like a $200-value than a $400-value room. It is described as a great stay for families and dog owners, but also like a living museum and potentially haunted.
This place has a great location and a very fair price for the area, I have no complaints. Very walkable to many fun things to do in Pismo and mere steps from the beach.
