“Hello Everyone — As like before, the intention of my review to help people and our community with as much info. I can provide so that it helps people to get all reqd. info and take decisions quickly at the time of booking.
We went to this property and took this as Midway from Irvine to San Francisco. First of all, It was perfect choice as a midway property!
Location (5/5) — The very first things I will call about the location of this property, it’s really breathtaking view of the ocean and the property is exactly beside sea (No sales speech). You can enjoy the Sea from your patio/balcony with a ? or any drinks you like to take with your family.
Internal Property Mgmt. (5/5) — When we arrived there was a live music ? in the garden and it was so enjoyable that can’t be expressed in words. There is a small private beach area inside the property campus which is beautiful too!
Sunset — You can’t see the exact sunset ? from there, Pl set your expectation accordingly.
Service (5/5) — There was a gentleman named “Martin”, he was so nice hearted and friendly that initial impression sets our Mood. He helped us with all our luggages till room and all.
Breakfast (3/5) — It’s an area team really needs to work on. It was a complementary breakfast with very limited options and most of the items were finished and all with delayed refill services etc etc.
Overall, we throughly enjoyed our Stay with Ocean at the front and amazing services but the reason I’m rating 4 (Ideally it’s 4.5/5) — (1) cost is bit at higher side (2) breakfast quality (3) with this cost Room can be little bigger.
Once again, it’s a memorable stay with some areas the team to work on !!

“The hotel was in a great location and very family friendly especially when traveling with pets. But our room was any infested. The hotel staff was very prompt and friendly and tried to take care of it but we again had the same problem the next day.”
“My husband and I just wanted to go on an overnight stay to Shell Beach. We love the area, but hotels have gotten a little too expensive. I did some research and found the Shell Beach Inn. Very reasonably priced, with close proximity to restaurants and only a few blocks to walk to the ocean. It is right off the freeway and a busy street, but I feel our room was set off from the street that it wasn’t too bad. Plus they have ear plugs in the room if needed. Friendly service and easy checking and checkout. We never had a chance to use the pool, but it is heated and hidden from the street. Would definitely stay again.”
“Great hotel, especially for the cost. Beautiful tiling and Spanish design. Rooms are spacious and well-stocked with amenities. Free drinks in the evening and a large free breakfast buffet in the morning. It is especially nice if you’re traveling with a dog.”

“Total Ocean view stay experience. Sister hotel to Shore. Room was in 3rd floor facing ocean and total visibility to the left/right of area #3303. Best room I think besides room #3301 which is at the corner of building. Would totally stay here again in future.”

“This hotel is the perfect location just a block to the beach!! The rooms are super clean and nicely updated. Large parking for the guests. We booked this hotel last minute and we're so glad we did. The manager was friendly and helpful, the owner was here too and she was so kind and thoughtful. We will definitely stay here again.”

“We've stayed in three different suites and all are very nice. Our latest stay was in the Captain's Quarters. This was my favorite. Great view from the lanai, spacious living room and small kitchenette. The bedroom is in the back with a room darkening shade and was very quiet and peaceful. The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were super soft.”

“Fantastic service by Kevin at the front desk making my husband’s birthday flawless. Enjoyed a bottle of local wine by the fire while watching sunset as the kids played in the pool. What a relaxing weekend! The views are incredible and the room was so clean and updated.”

“We just wrapped up our fifth consecutive New Year's stay at Vespera, and it continues to be our favorite spot on the Central Coast. The location is simply unbeatable; having direct access to the boardwalk and the best views of the Pismo Pier and beach makes for an incredible atmosphere.
As a Bonvoy Titanium member, I really appreciate how well we are treated here. The rooms are consistently excellent, and the ocean views we’ve received have been nothing short of spectacular—it truly makes the stay special.
Beyond the rooms, the property shines in every category. The on-site restaurant and bar serve great food and drinks (perfect for celebrating), and the amenities are top-notch. If you are looking for luxury right on the sand, this is the place. We are already looking forward to year number five!”
“The room was nice and clean,the bed was a little hard for my liking but not bad. It's a little small but still comfortable. The location is very convenient, very close to the beach,and also within walking distance to the pier and our favorite restaurant. It's hard to get a room here though we were finally able to after having no luck previously. Definitely will come back when it's possible again.”

“Enjoyable stay with no issues.
We are traveling up the One and this was a good stop along the way. Unfortunately there was a car show in town at Pismo Beach so it was miserable getting through there but not so much slightly North which is where this inn is located. Overall our stay was very good. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. If you don’t have a room in the ocean view building, your view is just into the courtyard/pool area. It has a nice path to walk along the cliffs above the beach that joins with other properties and eventually to stairs down to the beach. All along the coast it’s really pretty.
I have a few suggestions. The internet was particularly slow, the ductless HVAC unit created a lot of light pollution in the room and the shower/toilet area is looking aged in spots. None of this detracted from our stay.”
“Right on the beach and walking distance to the pier and downtown area. The staff was great, we were there daily for coffee and breakfast. They also offered cookies at check in and night. Room was clean and offered coffee pot, microwave, and mini fridge. We used the pool once which was actually very warm, and they also had a hot tub which was even better after a long day of walking.”

“This is our second visit at Inn by the Pier and it will forever be one of our favorites. I wanted to highlight the amazing work and warmness of the staff. Especially Anastasia at the front desk, whatever she is being paid is not enough. She goes above and beyond and made our trip extra special. As well as Jesse at the front desk too, he's also amazing as well. They were helpful with our reservations and always helped when we needed anything. Breakfast in the lobby is delicious. I highly recommend the Short rib hash! Make sure you ask for a side of the house made chili Verde salsa. The rooftop restaurant is lovely in the evening. Their food selections are great as well. Like I said I cannot boast enough about this place. We will be back often, it's our new favorite spot.”
“This is my go to hotel in Pismo Beach whenever I am visiting for vacations. The staff are very friendly and it’s more of a high-end Motel 6. I can’t complain it’s a very comfortable and relaxed area with a beautiful view.”
“Beautiful, quite new and comfy rooms, at a very good price !
Only thing was that the laundry was next to our room and we heard it pretty much from 8:30am to 9:15pm.”

“The room was pretty nice and very clean, which is what you expect at a Hilton. Only minor thing about the room was the shower curtain was a bit torn on the hooks. Location is right off the freeway, which is convenient. Walkable to downtown (~30 min). The 2 receptionist ladies I interacted with were great, very friendly. Cleaning staff was courteous. I'm only docking a star because of the dinner room service--the pork on the sliders was extremely dry and kind of hard and the sauce was on the side, which makes me think the meat was either microwaved or left out for a while. The steak was bland and came medium when I ordered medium rare, and they were out of the mashed potatoes option for the side (which was replaced with sautéed bell peppers, which were just fine). Unlike what you'd expect for a normal room service, everything arrived in a bag packaged in to-go containers with cheap plastic utensils, which was annoying for cutting steak and made for a cramped and unpleasant eating experience on an already sub-par meal. The best part of the meal was actually the dressing on the caesar salad, which was delicious.”
“We stayed here during a family beach trip and had a wonderful experience. The room included upgraded furniture and hardwood floors that looked very modern. The renovated parking lot looked clean and well organized. The new coffee setup was easy to use each morning before heading out. Overall, the motel feels greatly improved under the current management.”

“The room was clean beds were comfy we had 2 kids with us so it was just enough room. We only to sleep in it , most of day was spent at the beaches . Staff was nice helpful they greeted with a smile as we walked in each time we needed towels or anything. We had 3 rooms all were good no major complaints . AC’s were good one room it wasn’t as cold but was cool . Check in was easy peasy

Only down side I’d have to say bottom of pool needs to be vacuumed .”

“We loved this motel. Good location, easy to get in and out of the parking lot. Very nice staff. We loved the Keurig and the supplied coffee pods in the room, wonderful treat.
We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Pismo.”
