Back in 2021 I was first referred to them by the VA-HUD-VASH program, while getting my housing approved. I've lived here in La Habra ever since.
Let to tell you,...without their help things were looking very grim. I didn't know really what I needed, or what I even deserved. I was sleeping on an air mattress with a 40 inch flat screen leaning against the wall. That lasted all but a week before I was fully furnished with the help of the people at Patriots & Paws.
Well guess what, now I'm too a volunteer there. There's no more awesomeness of a feeling, than that of giving back. ??”

“I was in search of my first cat about 3 years ago when I found Cats In Need through a petfinder listing. I had shown up for a cat mistakenly not listed as being part of a bonded pair but when I got there I was offered another cat that might better suit my needs. She was about 2 years old so I had reservations about behaviors I wasn’t there for when she was a kitten and she wouldn't come out of hiding and seemed hostile to the other cats in the home but I still felt a pull to her all the same.
I was assured if I had any trouble I could call, text, show up to an event, or flat out take her back if I thought I really couldn't handle it. She had been treated for fleas when I had met her but she still ended up with worms that first week. I took her into an event and they helped handle her pill when I was mortified at the thought of holding down my new cat and force feeding her something!
Overall, I felt really safe, supported, and comfortable throughout the entire process and I got the best, most-polite and well-behaved cat I could have asked for. Thank you Celesta for introducing me to my best friend, Clea!”

“The Senior Citizen exercise program is great! Not too easy and not too hard. The instructor is very clear, supportive and understandable. The only negative thing is that it is only once a week. It should be twice a week separated by a few days.”
“I like the atmosphere. Though being totally out of religion, we attend the place for taking piano lessons and often making the walks all over. Zero people around, peace and singing birds, you can enjoy spending time with yourself. Kind of a meditation area.”

“MARY'S KITCHEN IS NO LONGER WHERE IT USED TO BE. IT IS NOW LOCATED OFF OF CERRITOS BETWEEN ANAHEIM BLVD. AND LEWIS ST. YOU NEED TO CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET FOOD AND TOILETRIES ECT.. I WENT BY THERE NOT KNOWING THIS. THEY ALLOWED ME IN ASKED IF I WOULDN'T MIND VOLUNTEERING FOR A BIT TO WHICH I SAID ABSOLUTELY. I WAS THERE HELPING PUT AWAY IN THE FREEZER SOME FOOD THAT JUST CAME IN FIR MAYBE 1/2 AN HOUR. MARY HERSELF ALLOWED ME TO TAKE WHAT I COULD FIT IN MY BACKPACK AND I WAS ON MY WAY. SHE GAVE ME A CARD AND SAID IF I EVER WANTED TO COME BACK JUST TO CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I BELIEVE I WILL TAKE HER UP ON THAT. MARY IS SUPER DOWN TO EARTH AND EASY TO TALK TO. “I'm fighting an unconstitutional CCW scheme out of Riverside County where sheriff Chad Bianco is acting like he's pro second amendment but he's not. CRPA and Michele and Associates are helping me to start a suit against Riverside for using Arbitrary rules and subjective standards. Remember Chad Bianco is a politician and not a real sheriff. I'm going to expose this. Thank you CRPA for fighting for the rights of Californians. I was denied my CCW based only on the name I use Dawud. My investigator was very rude to me and brought up my YouTube channel which back then only had me speaking on morality and videos of me Pulling, splicing, and testing fiber optics cable. He mentioned my YouTube name and I could tell he didn't like it and is more than likely anti semitic and hates Arabic people because when he mentioned my name he made it sound kind he caught me doing something wrong. I just responded "Yeah I have YouTube. It's just a hobby and I enjoy making videos". Next thing you know after 1 year of waiting for CCW I get an email I was denied. I spoke to the front office the other day and they confirmed yes they are getting many calls in regards to denials and Riverside is one of the top offenders. Also they are turning away trainers for CCW classes and only want certain people to hold the monopoly in the market. I spoke to a trainer one day at a gun show and he said the same guy who runs the CCW unit who was my investigator was being a real jerk and was rude to him. Join, donate and volunteer for CRPA. They are making a difference in California.”

I have some clothes I no longer fit in and chose this cause over others because I feel like they truly care about the community. I noticed a negative review below about prices and that person needs a reality check — you don’t haggle when the prices are already rock bottom and likely underpriced. If I had more money I’d pay up to 90% retail just to support their causes.”

“My daisy girl was diagnosed with Granulomatous Meningoencephalomyelitis (GME), a serious inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) that typically affects young to middle-aged dogs, especially small breeds. I know it was caused by the rabies vaccine because the symptoms starts days after her vaccine when she was 9. If it wasn't for HEMOPET, Dr. Jean Dodd, and her team, Daisy would not have had the proper nutrition and homeopathic remedies to stay alive for another 7 years.
Daisy was on long term liquid prednisone. As a result of this, she got cushings syndrome (i.e. prednisone belly in our situation). 1 appointment with Hemopet and 2 weeks of milk thistle drops in her food, along with a home diet change prescribed by Hemopet, the prednisone belly was gone and never returned.
Thanks to the fish diet that daisy was on, my mom was able to keep daisy alive and thriving for another 7 years until she developed cancer on her tongue. The cancer took her life away, but, if it wasn't for HEMOPET, my dog should have died 7 years ago.
