Stater Bros. Markets is a reliable and clean grocery store chain, considered by many to be the best in Southern California. It is a well-stocked, long-time go-to store for weekly shopping, known for its great selection of fresh produce, a fantastic meat department with accommodating butchers, seafood, wine, and groceries. The store layout makes sense and is typically not overcrowded, with more than enough checkers ready to assist. The staff is absolutely fabulous, providing friendly customer service and helpful assistance. Employees frequently go out of their way for customers, demonstrating exceptional care, such as finding specific items for shoppers or returning lost belongings. The stores are always clean, including nice and peaceful restrooms, and often feature a clearance section. The experience is consistently positive, marked by great service and short, fun conversations at checkout, making customers feel valued and eager to return.
Order online and pick up is free (over $35.00)! The store is clean and well organized with quality meat and produce. Better prices than Ralph's and Albertsons. I used to be a die-hard Albertsons shopper, but, Stater Bros. in Placentia won me over.
