Sierra Vista Vineyards & Winery is the second oldest vineyard and winery in El Dorado county, founded in 1973. They specialize in estate grown Rhone varietals, including reds of Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre, and whites of Viognier and Roussanne. They also offer Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful view of the Sierra Nevada Crystal Range at their cool 2800 feet elevation, and relax at the picnic tables under the trees next to the vineyard. The winery is known for its great wines, views, and live music. The staff, including hosts like Hannah and Savannah, provide excellent recommendations and service. Chef Mike's delicious dishes, including charcuterie boards and artisanal pizzas, have also received high praise, even from non-wine drinkers. 5/5 Wines and brick oven pizzas. Happy to say Sparkling Brut, Whites, and Reds were all very good. The Zin was outstanding. Priced right as well. Cheers to Greta and Jerry for introducing us.
