“I first discovered K&L several months ago when I was looking for a place that carried Greek wines. This was the only place in LA I could find. I ended up joining one of their wine clubs and I frequent their monthly tastings. Everyone there is so nice and knowledgeable. I’ve been to several tastings with Mandana and she’s amazing! Really friendly and knows her wines. Even when she’s not doing a tasting she always makes sure to say hi! Craig is also great on the member tastings. Really a gem and I’m so happy I found it. However, I must say that after purchasing 4 sandwiches today, each one of our sandwich bread’s ? was completely soggy after having opened the wrapping, just 2 minutes after receiving them. “Visit this heaven-on-earth daily. Make it part of the magic of your Manhattan Beach life. A new chef is creating coffee cake and banana bread (sold as individual slices) that is pure sorcery. I don’t know how it is so amazing; I’m just grateful it’s here! (This neighborhood has needed a bakery for years…and now we’ve got it.) Crafted sandwiches and salads are exceptional; and heat-at-home entrees like chicken enchiladas and bucatini with meatballs are restaurant quality (this is NOT typical deli takeout!). This is also a full gourmet market of pantry staples, cheeses, and produce, all selected with a discerning eye. Not to be missed is the wine selection. I thought I “knew wines” (and I do!), but there is a gifted sommelier here who REALLY knows wine. Fascinating and impressive. Lastly, but most importantly, the people - warm, genuine, welcoming - make this market a place you want to visit every day. Which is good because you’re going to want to get the coffee cake every day! Enjoy!”

“Can't go wrong here. Excellent selection of hard-to-get cocktail fixings, cordials, and digestifs. Extensive selection of all liquor types. Good beer choices. I think you can get a keg here too. Prices are abt 3-4 dollars (at least) cheaper than regular stores.
What this place brings to the table is staff who know their product. Try to get that at the chain discount liquor stores”

“Got to try the pastrami deluxe at this local establishment. It was pretty good. The pastrami was decent with little to no fatty bits. The mixture of mustard, pepperoncini, and pickles were balanced which gave the sandwich that nice savory and juicy texture that one expects of a pastrami sandwich.
The staff is very nice and easy to talk to in figuring out what you want. I'd love to come back to try the Italian traditional ones. The sandwich orders do take a bit of time to make but they make it very well. You can take this sandwich and eat it by the beach if you don't feel like sitting at the tables available.”

“Super cool wine and unique goods shop. I had discovered the place on accident after stopping by a shop down the street from them on accident. Great selection of beers, natural wines, liquor and snacks. The guy working there was super helpful, helped me navigate through their wide variety of unique beers to find a hazy IPA that was absolutely delicious! I definitely want to come back for their wine tastings and to pick up a bottle of bourbon . Oh and not to throw any of the other establishments under the bus but the pricing at Bar & Garden is super competitive if not significantly better than other spots within walking distance of there.”

“The best family-feel neighborhood corner store EVER. First off, it's owned by a family of amazing people that have become part of MY family. They chat with everyone uniquely because they actually care to know everyone, in addition to them being cool, charismatic people. Selection is GREAT. If you don't see something you're interested in, ask. There's a decent chance they'll get it for you, esp if you're a regular. They've got a cigar room- thing. I could go on, but you get the idea. Love this place and those guys.Oh yeah... they sell a TON of winning scratchers!!!I haven't got anything great yet, but almost everyone else seems to!Bottom line, just go there if you're in/live in the area.”

“Employees are very friendly and will ask you if you need help. My cashier was kind and friendly even with my brain farts. I was able to find peppers which is surprisingly hard to find lately especially good ones. I bought some of the Jalapeño poppers and I swear they are the best thing ever so yummy and easy to cook. I also stocked up on some broccoli and burger buns. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised at how fairly inexpensive it was considering how expensive groceries are these days anywhere else. And the quality of the items are great. The store was also clean and organized which is always good.”

“I absolutely love this place. First of all the meat is fresh. You can tell that it's been properly bled and they do whatever you want. They'll cut it however you want they have candy that you haven't seen since you were kids what was the last time you had a crush soda be a strawberry, pineapple, watermelon, strawberry I said strawberry it's really good grape or ranch. It's really good I really love this place and they have a hot cicerones hog head cheese. I mean this place is just wonderful if you want to go grocery shopping get some fresh meat and get clean food. This is the place and the guys there a really nice so I recommend this place yes I go from Long Beach to Inglewood just stick to my shopping but I love it.”

“This is my local spot for any booze or snacks/grocery items I need whenever I'm in a hurry or don't feel like driving. Although the prices are a bit higher than a big Grocery Store or a Bevmo (maybe a 10-20% markup), the convenience factor usually makes it worth it.
In regards to booze, their beer selection is quite impressive...they have all the regular stuff (Budweiser, Coors, etc.), but they all have a decent selection of craft brews. Their wine selection is also quite decent, with multiple aisles nicely arranged.
The liquor selection is equally sufficient and you can usually find whatever bottle you're looking for. Lastly, the grocery/food/snack selection is limited, but it'll cover all your basic needs.
The staff is great...always friendly and polite. They've been in the area for a while (I've been here for 20+ years) and have become a staple in the neighborhood. Hope they stay around for many years to come.”
