The Contra Costa Humane Society is noted for having one of the best adoption programs around. The place is a clean, beautiful, and spacious building where the animals are happy. Visitors describe a quick process where they can meet animals, noting the workers are happy and professional. The organization's excellent fosters provide the best care for animals while they await new families. Many adopters report leaving happy with a sweet, loving, and perfect new family member, from kittens and cats with boundless energy and personality to dogs with extreme energy and goofiness. The society also provides commendable care for animals after surgery, with follow-up calls to check on their well-being.
Warm and welcoming, as close to a home environment as you can get. Super clean, very kind and friendly staff and volunteers. Such a great place to get to know a potential adoptee. My friend adopted the most adorable Honeybun. Love at first sight!
