Hours: The Sonesta Select Pleasant Hill is a clean hotel with spacious rooms in a great location, perfectly situated across from a pleasant outdoor shopping area. Guests describe the rooms as nice, with comfortable beds, amazingly comfortable pillows, good showers with nice water pressure, and lovely details like vaulted ceilings and large blackout curtains. The property is generally quiet and peaceful. The staff receives significant praise for being polite, professional, and very helpful, often going above and beyond to provide genuine kindness and personal attention that makes guests feel valued, respected, and part of a family. Many find the experience wonderful and award it a high rating. The hotel is also dog-friendly, featuring a brand new little dog park and complementary dog snacks. Some guests note minor drawbacks, including a $7 nightly parking fee, the absence of a complimentary breakfast, and occasional maintenance issues like a malfunctioning refrigerator or a broken toilet paper holder. A few reviews mention that blinds may not fully close, allowing in light, or that a room had an odor. The elevators are sometimes described as janky. Despite these points, the overall impression is of a lovely, clean, and well-located hotel where the attentive staff and comfortable accommodations create a positive and comfortable stay.
