This post office is terrible and like other reviewers post, they lie!! We are constantly exchanging mail with neighbors because of mail delivered to wrong address. Also, ...Amazon prime customers pay for delivery. Is "delivery " having to drive 28 miles to pick up item at post office, "delivery " ? I've had the local post master to my house. He appeared to investigate complaints. All I can say about the meeting, ..... no wonder the Pollock Pines post office is a disaster. This must be fixed.

As of today, I have 4 poor dealings with the post office in Pollock Pines. They cannot seem to deliver packages, AND then lie about attempting delivery. I was in today because two packages for Amazon said they were held at the carrier location but when I arrived they couldn't be found. The way they escape accountability is the packages were scanned as 'Delivered' so Amazon won't just resend the items. They lie about attempted delivery like no one has cameras in 2024.

Worst post office ever seems like everybody else reviewing has the same problem. They can never seem to deliver packages and when you do go in for your packages that they say are waiting at the post office they don't have it or can't find it. Had to go in twice to get a package first time they couldn't find it second time they found it and surprise surprise the box was all damaged. You would think it would be more regulated and efficient.

I have lived at the same address for 20 years and yet the dumber than dumb postal person who delivers mail to my address still can't get it right--always puts my mail in other neighbors mailbox! Thank goodness that I get my "important mail" at a P.O. box in El Dorado because I wouldn't trust the Pollock Pines Post Office to deliver anything to my address, but sometimes I have an Amazon order and those "she always puts in other mailboxes" so I have to go searching for my package, worthless (well I can't really say what I want to call her on here) but you get my meaning.

They only received 1 star because I had to. This post office is by far the worst. Constantly delivery packages to the wrong address or more recent we dropped of your package in the parcel bin and no key in my mailbox it’s so frustrating. I feel like I’m wasting my time here because nothing will change.

Visiting the Pollock Pines USPS was an exercise in futility and an abject lesson in incompetence. Never have I witnessed such a motley crew of uninformed, disorganized, and frankly lazy individuals under one roof. The audacity they have to clock in every day, pretending to contribute to society, is a shocking indictment of the state of work ethics in this town. It's beyond laughable—it's tragic. I can only assume the lack of service is a direct reflection of the educational background these 'workers' have received, leaving me not just angry, but deeply concerned. Abolish the USPS? After this experience, consider me a fervent advocate.

I understand you guys are busy, I understand there's delays, but the constant always putting mail in the wrong mailbox or saying it's undeliverable when I'm standing outside watching you drive by and you say it's animal interference I am beyond over it. I understand your government entity and this will probably fall upon deaf ears, because unfortunately you do not have another choice I have to use this service but my God hire more competent people who can read numbers 1 through 30 and put things in the right box and who weren't so lazy to get out of the truck to drop off a package that I'm happy to just pick up, so you don't even have to get out of your car, instead of saying animal interference.

Miserable service. Mail just goes missing. This place is a joke. Local carrier can’t find houses on a map and the desk staff, who knows what the deal is there. I just want my mail. Sad for a pony express town..

So, it takes a lot, like a lot a lot, for me to take to the interwebs & complain...I don't like complaining, but it must be done here. I've lived in (7) other communities in my illustrious 47 years, & (3) others in the Northern CA foothills, & this Pollock Pines post office is not simply the worst, it's the only bad one. Further, it's not bad, it's unbelievably embarrassingly horrible. I don't choose these words because I'm upset, rather because they're accurate, & I feel it's important that folks get a real feel for this post office. So, it snows in Pollock Pines...a little news flash for ya, & not once in dozens of snow events has the mail been delivered. We recently had 3 full days of bright sunshine after a large snow storm...plows are on it up here & the roads were clear the day after it last snowed. As always, zero attempts to deliver....to anyone, & we're on one of those large multi box units, so the driver literally pulls up & tosses the mail in & drives off. To be clear, I make sure to remove all snow from around this multi unit every time it snows for the neighborhood, leaving no reason not to deliver, yet they find one nevertheless. Laziness. When I/you call to politely inquire, it's met with the most sour attitude you've ever heard from an older gentleman, spitting out excuses with a tone that suggests you're a monster for wanting your mail a carrier could be ruthlessly murdered by a snowflake if she/he we're to even attempt delivery. Even in the best of times/weather, this post office will misdeliver, lie, & generally show off their collective aloof, lazy, & mean states of being. What I'm attempting to say is, not a super dooper great post office, & it's so awful because there is no alternative...you get the post office you get, & you do throw a fit....after too many years of disservice.

I actually feel bad doing this and I certainly know it won't accomplish anything, but out of frustration I'm leaving this review. There is nothing new for me to say that hasn't already been said by other reviewers. I've only lived here in Pollock Pines for 2-1/2 years now, but it's been long enough to see just how bad this post office is. They do have some great workers and carriers, no doubt. But it's just the same ol' story, day after day, sunshine or snow. Deliveries made to the wrong address, fabricated stories to explain why they didn't deliver something, false claims, claiming to be perpetually short-staffed, etc. They never answer the phone either, which should tell you something. Both yesterday and today, they delivered my packages to the wrong address (who knows where?!) and simultaneously delivered a piece of certified mail to my mailbox that was *not* to my address. Isn't it a requirement to sign for certified mail?! What are they doing, just forging signatures? If this was a private corporation not run by the fed, they would have gone out of business a long time ago. I'm sending all packages to my office in Folsom now, where I have *never* had a single problem.

I wonder who is in charge of this asylum? Love our carrier but he can only do so much when the bosses can't figure it out. Dismal service, just terrible.

Horrible mail Service! If you live in pollock pines, you know how much usps here sucks! Between losing important mail a few times a year to saying they can't make it to your house to deliver a package. When the roads are clear.

I am very disappointed. If I can put negative stars, I would. Guys, if you can read delivery instructions in English. It said, "Front door", NOT "Front yard". I read the other comments before I write this. At least for other people, the package was delivered on a cemented front porch. Come on, it's heavily rain today and many weeks before, it was heavily snow. My packages were soaked wet sitting in my front yard. For peace sake, if these are your packages, would you like them soaked with rain or bury with snow. The tax-payers do pay you for services. No one forces you to be a postman/post-lady. If you chose to be a federal service workers, at least put some dignity and courtesy for others.

Giving 1 star feels generous. The staff won't deliver things if it requires them to get out of the truck and they just mark it undeliverable. Forget trying to call and see what the problem is as you'll only get a run around. I had a pair of children's boots I was expecting to be delivered and they marked it undeliverable before leaving due to it being "oversized" I've honestly never dealt with such incompetence from a USPS. I've gone so far as to ask Amazon to ship my things from UPS and FEDEX so I can actually count on my packages being delivered. This location is a joke
