Someone else here has already mentioned that this is the DMV of medical labs. I'd say that's almost true. The DMV is similarly run down and shabby. But the DMV at least has someone behind a desk that can theoretically answer questions. Here's there's just a screen and a door that occasionally opens. Better hope you checked in right and got your barcode scanned or whatever. Because is something isn't right, good luck figuring it out. The lab tech was great and so feel bad leaving a negative review because the one person I did encounter was nice. But wow ... the facility itself is an institutional-lime-green pit of despair run by screens that may or may not accurately reflect what is going on. I feel bad for anyone who has to regularly use this place. Genuinely alarming if places like these are the future of healthcare.

During my recent visit to Quest Diagnostics, I experienced significant inconvenience and frustration, which I feel compelled to share. My purpose was straightforward - to drop off a pre-labeled sample, following the advice from another Quest location that samples could be submitted at any branch. However, the service I received was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I was met with a reception that was not only unwelcoming but also highly unprofessional. The staff member I interacted with displayed a level of rudeness and obstinacy that was both surprising and unnecessary. Their approach came across as ill-informed, and their insistence on bureaucratic procedures seemed illogical given the context of my visit.Despite my attempts to explain that the samples were already labeled and that I was pressed for time, the staff member persisted with their unreasonable demands. This insistence on signing in for an appointment to obtain labels - which were clearly unnecessary in my case - was not only a waste of my time but also indicative of a lack of understanding of their own processes. This experience has left me with serious concerns about the training and customer service skills of the staff at this particular Quest Diagnostics location. It's disappointing to witness such a level of inefficiency and poor customer handling in a professional medical environment. I hope my feedback will be taken constructively and lead to improved staff training and service standards, to ensure that future patients do not encounter similar frustrations.

Worst experience ever. At Activity rd location 1 person at reception talking on phone, not helping at all and not accepting walk in although no one was there, poway location was even worst. Instead of serving people they keep saying we can’t help walk ins, don’t wait. Honestly they had no idea what they are doing..

DO NOT GO THERE!!I would give negative stars if I could. The Thursday shift staff is just like zero on courtesy. No smile at people or be accommodating. They just don’t care about you.Waited for 2 hours and couldn’t get a walk in with two staff in shift. The people who couldn’t show an appointment confirmation code went in before me cause they complained. If you have to walk in then don’t just sit politely wait for your turn. Talk to them loudly and they will accommodate you before others in the line.I do not recommend visiting this place at all.

They open at 7:30 but the waiting room was FULL at 8am and NOT ONE person had been called back for their blood work.PLUS, there is NOT a person you can talk to. You sign in on the tablet and sit down and wait with no acknowledgement of your existence or opportunity to ask any questions.I hope this is not the future we all have in store for us.This place is horrible!

DO NOT GO HERE!!Went there with an appointment and the testing center made us wait for almost 1.5 hours. There is no customer service front desk whatsoever. The staff is just like zero on courtesy. May be they do not get paid to minimum. Like smile at people or be accommodating. I do not recommend visiting this place at all.

waited an hour and a half before they tell me they dont have my lab order from my doctor. if there was at least a front desk that couldve been avoided. then the labs doctor that took me back proceeded to justify the long wait and lack of a check in process at all, saying its my mistake that i dont have paper lab orders. called my doctors office and it was really their mistake. had them fax over the blood work order. they did not keep me updated on the status of the fax after telling me as soon as they receive it they’ll have me for the blood work. once they received it 30 minutes later after it wasnt sent again originally and i had to follow up with my doctors office again, these quest ppl put me all the way at the back of the line and said id have to wait for everyone else to be done before it was my turn again. i said ive been here longer than any of these people (2.5 hours at this point) and mentioned that they said they would take me back as soon as they received the fax. they basically shrugged me off and i had to leave, ended up wasting 2.5 hours of my precious time. this review only took me 5 minutes to write in comparison so im more than happy to leave an honest review about my “experience”. go anywhere else for bloodwork and have an appointment beforehand because they absolutely go out of their way to inconvenience you, dilly dally behind the closed door and absent check-in process, even if you have everything you need.

I was really hoping every review of this place was wrong. I just needed a simple vile of blood and yet two people could not find a vein first time ever in my life. No doctor nurse phlebotomist has ever had an issue finding a vein. Go to literally any other location.

Scheduled an appointment. They were so dang behind. You can’t to all to anyone. There is no front window and the service bell is covered with a white piece of paper that says “DO NOT TOUCH!”

My Doctor's office helped me make an appointment for a blood draw at this location- the booking is a whole different difficulty. I suggest asking your doctor's office for help. I'd giving their booking system a 'zero star' rating. However, this review is for this location, specifically. ------ First time here. For starters, nice location: local, close, near the hospital and other needs, easy parking. The building was also easy to navigate, just follow the signs. Ste 208 was on the second floor. I received the Check-in Text message. All I had to do was click "check in" upon arrival and wait in the sitting room. Easy enough! I got called in on time for my 10:30am appointment. To make it clear - I hate needles and always get nervous for shots or things like this. Mel was the staff helping me today and he was professional, reassuring me that he's seen other patients who get just as scared or 'seen it all'. He was very quick actually and he was able to find my good vein quickly as well without having to poke or pry at my veins, thank goodness! I appreciate that he kept me distracted with small conversation, this always helps me when it comes to needles. Anyways, I was out of there quickly, efficient, convenient, helpful.

I came to draw blood like the many times I have because I am pregnant and this morning I felt very nauseous morning sickness was very intense so I kinda asked the lady that was calling people back if she had a bag for me just in case because there are no trash cans or a bathroom near by she said yes went to the back came back and told me no she didn't have anything for me she asked what I was here for she assumed glucose testing Desiree which is her name the lab Tech I said no I'm here for blood work I have an appointment but I'm feel very nauseous. she said ok there's a bathroom down stairs I don't have a bag . a nice lady in waiting area said you don't have a trash bag for her because if not she's gonna throw up on the floor she said no I don't she's gonna have to go down stairs and told us she will call me by my appointment. I get that they have to go by appointment and in order but I couldn't get a bag while I waited just in case but she was so rude about the situation. I come here all the time and that was no expected the people here are usually kind and sweet to me but that Desiree was not at all .

My first time here. Checked on line and see bad reviews which made me very nervous coming here but.... I am pleased with the service here today. Walked in without appointment around 2:30 pm, checked in at the kiosk then I sat down and waited. Mel came out after 2 mins, took me inside asking simple questions. I didn't feel the pinch while it's drawing. In & out within 10 mins. Thank you Mel. Highly recommend this place. (Don't be worry if you walk in and see the empty office because they are all working in the back, the staff know you are there).

Even if you have an appointment they are over an hour behind. One person drawing blood, then one goes on break, which is fine everyone is entitled to a break, but when they get back it takes them over 15 minutes to get back and call people while they see the waiting room is full! They need to hire more people as they are always busy! Then you ask and they tell you I’m the only one here! It’s a joke. Go to Labcorp they have a lot more staff and actual people behind the counter and at least 3+ people working to draw blood.
