Desert Island Country Club is a public golf course established in 1971, set against a breathtaking lake and mountain backdrop. The championship course is described as dreamy, fantastic, fun, and well-maintained, with a great layout featuring wide luscious fairways, long par 3's and 5's, and short par 4's. Many highlight the awesome pace of play, good course conditions, and the free range balls provided before a round. The staff are consistently noted as nice, super friendly, very helpful, and professional. The facility also offers destination dining and events. This includes a chef-driven restaurant, an al-fresco all-day golfers bar with homemade grab 'n' go food, a mobile bar cart on the course, a vibrant cocktail lounge, a contemporary art gallery, and a ballroom for weddings. While most experiences are highly recommended, a few guests noted the absence of a cart girl, a closed bar at the turn, and that the maintenance crew did not accommodate players during their rounds. Overall, it is considered a must-play venue in the Palm Springs area.

We had our wedding at this venue and had the BEST experience. The place was so funky & eclectic. The views were spectacular. And the staff were so professional & kind. We had such a wonderful day.

Course is in FABULOUS condition. Really an awesome value. Fairways wide and forgiving, turf excellent. Greens were perfect. My only complaint would be the goose poop on certain holes. Our total experience was great and staff very accommodating…..
