“I like a lot of things about this supermarket.Most of the staff are nice. I like the Murray's cheese dept (now owned by Kroger?) Good parking situation. It's great to have this supermarket oasis on the peninsula.The loss of one star is that they sell The Epoch Times. That's not a fair newspaper and should not be sold next to the Los Angeles Times. While Conservatives and Liberals should all be less antagonistic towards each other and be free to think what they want... having this newspaper in the store is like selling MAGA hats at the check stands. Feel free to wear a MAGA hat but if you push them on me while shopping, I will shop elsewhere. And if I continue to see the Epoch Times being sold alongside real newspapers, I will shop elsewhere. At least with MAGA hats, you know what the deal is. But the Epoch Times is a little more insidious because it's disguised as real journalism.nbcnews.com/news/us-news…”

“I was at this place trying to find a walking cane because of the long time injury on my left knee! I could hardly walk because it is so painful. Janet was the person that helped me. She was very courteous, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. She basically asked me some questions and tried to find out why I need a walking cane? She showed me quite a few canes but I didn't like them because I worried about if I tripped the bottom of the cane; that might just be worse. She suggested that I need to treat the pain in my knee and showed me a few knee sleeves. She even tried to put one on for me and asked me to walk a few steps and see how I felt. I was surprised that it made my leg felt more stable and could walk a little better. It's less painful by wearing that knee sleeve. Thank you so much, Janet! I appreciate it very much. I will wear it until I can find a good orthopedic surgeon to operate on my torn knee!”
“I have historically went to CVS Pharmacy and always dealt with long wait times and unfriendly staff who don't care about their patients. My uncle referred me to Concierge Pharmacy. They were able to get my medication extremely quick, much faster than CVS. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly! I am extremely pleased with their professionalism and will only return to this pharmacy from now on.”

The way the store is set up reminds me of Alfa Beta the little toy section has toy soldiers and the air planes you build yourself. The attention to detail, the professionalism, and her passion for her customer’s well-being, is really something special. I don’t live in the Torrance area, but I still rely on Southwood Pharmacy to keep me on track with my medications. They communicate with my doctors and my insurance company to make sure I get the meds I need. Active Care Pharmacy is privately owned by Sara, a remarkable & genuine woman. Her knowledge surpasses everyone in her field. And she takes care of me like I am a beloved family member. I never have to wait in line and a plus is that I don't have to deal with big pharma any longer. Other pharmacies have stopped carrying some of the medications that I need but Sara always gets them for me. Also, she calls my doctor on my behalf if she knows of a more efficient medication other than what they prescribed ... amazing! She has helped me feel better and has actually improved my health. Her generosity extends to the community... she paid for and donated over $60,000 of Covid 19 vaccines. Who else would do that? I will be a loyal customer for life.”
“In no way as a flex??, but I have visited my fair share of pharmacies and had to deal with endless rude, unprofessional, uneducated, extremely uncaring coldhearted pharmacists. Joshua, the lead pharmacist, and his entire team are absolute angels ?you would think when people are sick going through some of the worst things they'll ever face in life, or having to help a loved one experience any type of illness or trauma that pharmacies would be there to help??Right?? Unfortunately that is too often far from anything ypu get theze days, with so many pharmacist going off on some power trip or making you jump through 5 million hurdles of red tape. However, when it comes to Josh and the CVS parmacy techs, from the moment you walk in or use the drive through all the staff welcomes you with a huge smile and is extremely timely. Josh is ALWAYS trying amd willing to go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, safe and heard. They also will frequently try to expedite a prescription if it hasn't been filled, they maintain strong professional unbothered communication with doctors and best of all, if they don't have something in stock they either recommend a possible substitution or will go ahead and call other pharmacies to make sure they have it. So you're not driving around having to waist time. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Josh, as he has helped me through many, many, a pickle. Whether it's my insurance fault, the Doctors problem or just a matter of stock or pricing Josh and his staff really care about their clients. And even go so far as to make you feel like you're part of a family, not just another number in line waiting like cattle to be herded along or to be poked and prod which so many pharmacists nowadays seem to do (As it's almost a power trip for them) I can't say enough great things about this place as they truly are an incredible group of human beings and I recommend to anyone and everyone ?? thank you so much for all you do for my family and I???”

“Lately, I was having to go to multiple pharmacies to get my medication's. After going for more than a week without my medication, three different local pharmacies in San Pedro did not have the medication in stock there's a national shortage this pharmacy has been able to not only fill my prescriptions, but also has great customer service and knowledgeable pharmacists, who have explained meds and even asked me about possible different interactions. I have one medication that I'm taking temporarily, where you cannot eat certain things it will have a bad reaction. I was so happy she told me to wait a day because I had actually eaten some of the foods that cause stomach upset with that medication five star customer service and five stars for having items in stock. It says compounding I think they make medication there. They also do many other services that are listed when you enter the property, it's located inside a medical building parking is super convenient. It's worth the drive to get all my medication at one place instead of driving to multiple pharmacies also, they have some very cool hospital. Type gift shop stuff. I bought a cute Kitty cat that looks like the one we have at home.”
