“This has been my primary pharmacy for about 6 months and I generally have very good experiences with the helpful staff. There is one particular person who each time I speak with her, she makes me feel like I am inconveniencing her and telling me what I did wrong in each interaction. Even when it was information she provided me that was wrong and led to lots of additional tasks on my end. Thank you to everyone who is always kind and takes the time to educate me but if I am made to feel less than human by the staff member again, I will be having to switch pharmacies.”

The attention to detail, the professionalism, and her passion for her customer’s well-being, is really something special. I don’t live in the Torrance area, but I still rely on Southwood Pharmacy to keep me on track with my medications. They communicate with my doctors and my insurance company to make sure I get the meds I need. “A very good pharmacy with personal attention and care! I have finally left the nightmare of CVS pharmacy! And I am happy to pay $10-$15 more for my prescription to not have to deal with the catastrophic management of CVS Pharmacy's. They don't care, but why should they, it's not their business it's just a 9 to 5 job! They just want to punch the clock and go home.... Vm pharmacy which I had previously left because I had to pay a bit more, turns out to be a much much better pharmacy and more than worth the extra cost! This pharmacy is worth going to because they know you and actually care about your medication. and making sure you have it! They don't run out of stock.... And if they do, which is very rare, they will have it in 24 hours and deliver it to you! Don't make the mistake of going to a pharmacy that is a big corporation! They don't care because they have 100 more people behind you. That will take your place!! this pharmacy might be a bit more if you don't have good insurance, but it is more than worth it! thank you”

“I have been to many different pharmacies and the Torrance location is by far the best! The staff is always courteous and helpful. The pharmacists are very patient explaining things to me as well as my elderly mother. Even though they are very busy, wait times are always short. I also appreciate the empathy the staff shows for the patients. I received the wrong number of tablets for my antibiotic at the Normandie location but instead of telling me to go back to that pharmacy, the pharmacist gave me the additional tablets I needed and apologized even though she was correcting someone else’s mistake. I wish all the other pharmacies treated their patients like Torrance pharmacy.”

“Before Red Bull took the USA by storm, there was Lipovitan. My dad (yes, the country music listenin', bookcase buildin', briefcase carryin' guitar player mentioned 4 reviews down) used to drink the stuff. I was 7 or so and I thought it was medicine. I wondered why my dad had to drink these drinks every day, and what was in these things? So I read the label. I was SEVEN. And realised it was mostly vitamins and some caffeine. (I know, you're thinkin'.. what a dooooooork!~~~~) Fast forward to today.... they now make 'sugar free' Lipovitan for the sugar- conscious (read: weight conscious) *me*. Available at May Wah for a bargain $1.29/ bottle. It keeps me awake on the long days when I need that extra kick. And those days are all too often these days. *YAWN* YELP MODS: This is a drug company, not a drug store.”

“Not sure what’s the problem or why ppl complain about. I picked up 2 prescriptions. 99 % of the time are ready when I get there. Once I forgot to get a refill, it was Saturday, lomita clinic was closed. The pharmacist was kind enough to give me one for free to take on Sunday. So I can see my doctor on Monday. They were very kind I didn’t even have the empty bottle, the look it up for me and help me out. One of the young ladies who works there has the patience of a saint. Some elderly woman was in front of me once, she literally told the story of her entire family tree. I was getting impatient, but I recognize how much that lady needed someone to listen. Harbor is harbor people. Be grateful they are there for us. Don’t expect private pharmacy treatment.”
