About Disability Action Center
Disability Action Center is a nonprofit Independent Living Center for citizens with disabilities. It has offices in Chico and Redding. DAC offers Assistive Technology like walkers, wheelchairs and power chairs free of charge, senior vision services, Traumatic Brain Injury support groups, rental housing strategies and advocacy.

They are amazingly helpful and made me feel super good for just showing up. Alex went the extra mile to fix my mom’s wheelchair foot rests for free. I can’t recommend them enough…. a true gem in the Redding area. Please donate to help them out, if you can! Worthy of more praise than I can give :)

I was trying to find resources for one of my patients, and I'm glad they were able to support. The staff was pleasant and able to help immediately. Now, that was efficiency.

These individuals are absolutely amazing. I needed a wheelchair and they got me one the same day when I called the second time (never heard back the first time but that wasn’t a big deal to me since I got what I needed anyway). They’re very kind, nonjudgmental, and will make sure you’re taken care of. Highly recommend!
