“Incredibly kind and friendly staff who were very accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Lots of shops and restaurants were within waking distance. The option to text the front desk with any questions or needs is a nice hospitality touch. I would stay here again if I were in Redding”

“They are remodeling the pool and other half of place but room is stayed in was very nice and clean. There was a good donut shop and pizza/bar and Mexican food spot all in walking distance. The breakfast could have been better. Had waffle maker but covered. I'm guessing didn't have batter. I would definitely stay again. Despite other comment about noisy air conditioner, i can say the air conditioning was absolutely fabulous”

“We stayed in their 2 room King suite. It was a great room, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great.
Our family traveled to Redding for a family member who was at Mercy Hospital. The receptionist offered us a reduced rate to help alleviate the cost of traveling without us asking. That personal touch was very appreciated.
I hope in the future to have the opportunity to stay at other Oxford Suites in better circumstances.”

“Stayed in the mini suite for 3 days and was impressed. Great service and amenities. Enjoyed the C.R. Gibbs restaurant connected to the hotel. A pleasant experience overall.”

“Rooms where clean, staff was friendly, breakfast buffet was really good. The place is worn down, but is a 2 star hotel so price reflects that. Really close to the highway take that as either good or bad.”

“This is a very nice hotel, but we had one of the worst experiences checking in. It took us over an hour. Yes, there must have been issues with the computer systems, but it is still unacceptable to make us wait that long. I pleaded to just let us drop our stuff in the room, but they said they wouldn't. They promised to waive the $50 pet fee for our inconvenience, and they did refund it today after I called. Thanks for doing the right thing!”

“Awesome room. Awesome everything thing else in the building. Very comfortable king size bed. Friendly desk staff. Non-skid tub. The washcloth did not feel like sandpaper. I would prefer a larger HDTV but the existing HDTV is adequate.”

“Very clean and nice staff. Breakfast was great in the morning. Not much directly around for my business stop.

Bed was VERY hard and springs were tough. Luckily the secomd bed was great.”

“I just wanted a reasonably priced hotel in the northern part of Redding. This was a great place to stay! Convenient access. Very clean. Rooms are quite large. The bed was a bit hard, but not too bad. The shower had lots of pressure and was very clean. Staff at checkin was great, although they could have used more than just one person at the desk in the late afternoon (she was working VERY hard to help everyone). The breakfast was fine, about what I would expect at this price range. Waffle makers, bacon, eggs, potatoes, several fruit options, and the dining area was exceptionally clean. All in all, a great place to stay.”

“THE BEST TRAVELODGE EVER!!! If every Travelodge was this clean, this polite, this maintained, this pleasant, we wouldn't stay at any other hotel! Absolutely incredible staff - thank you Brandon for the warm and expedited welcome, and Heather you made our day with your morning cheer and disposition! This is the only place I'll stay when traveling thru Redding for now on! Great job guys!

Rooms: Got the 3 queen bed room- fantastic!”

“We had a family reunion of 61 people here for my mom's 95th birthday in Redding and most everyone stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. We used the large meeting room to have our festive celebration for the birthday party. We had the buffet of the prime rib dinner and chardonay chicken. Everything was delicious and the service was absolutely incredible. It was a whole weekend long event and Greg Knoell and his team were phenomonal from the planning in the beginning stages to taking care of every little thing that came up with such kindness and patience. It was a huge feat to pull off and I'm so appreciative of Greg and his team for helping me make it all happen. The family all had such a wonderful time.”

“TLDR... Nostalgic comment.
This place still looks the same, not sure if that's good or bad. I cannot comment about the current service. This was the first place we stayed at when me & my family first came to Redding in 1994. We stayed at the Shasta Lodge for about a month. I was 12 years old, I used to walk all over Downtown Redding looking for new friends and something to do. No complaints about this place from what I remember. I no longer live in Redding, this place brings back a lot of good memories.”

“Nice clean rooms. The on site management are great. I would definitely refer this little lodge.
Thank you for your hospitality and kindness.

“The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, the indoor pool was nice, but cold, the room was pretty sizable (fit 2 kids inflatable beds), breakfast which is included was convenient (waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins and bagels), the hotel location was pretty central for what we were doing. Close to the Sundial bridge, Shasta Lake and Whickeytown Lake.”

“Even though the air conditioner’s sound is
big, I just shut it off before bedtime after setting the temperature into a lower one. Using this strategy, the night I spent here somehow is the most terrific night I spent in many hotels at the United States. I guess it is because of the quietness and extreme soft beddings. Thank you!!”

“Had a late check-in. We were greeted by Jayson who was very friendly and professional. He made check-in easy and stress free. We'll definitely come back again and recommend this place to our friends and family.”

“Due to the McKinley fire all the hotel's we're booked. Another hotel suggested Sundial Lodge. When I looked at the building I was expecting an old property. I was pleasantly surprised that other than being small it was very nice. Not a bad stay.”

“The guy working in the front desk was amazingly helpful. When I booked through a third party booking I asked for a wheelchair accessible room and they booked me with a room on the second floor and there's no elevator. Not the fault of the hotel. Totally blame Expedia. First time we ever heard a rule that they don't rent rooms to anyone that lives within a 75 mi radius of this hotel. Apparently people come here and trash the room and skip the bill or decline it on their card after the stay? Bizarre. In the bed was very comfy and the AC is amazing. Pretty conveniently located to the Civic center and shopping.”

“It is not a fancy hotel by any means but it takes your animals without a deposit and I can’t tell you how AMAZING THE STAFF IS, ESPICALLY KATELYN AT THE FRONT DESK - she was so patient and helpful with us, we were evacuated due to the “ Park Fire “ . I checked in and she had a lobby FULL of people she was the only one working and she was so kind to everyone and helped everyone with a smile and answered everyone’s questions . We checked in early evening and the next morning she was back to help all of the evacuees and help the company stay on top all the customers needs - They need to give her a raise for SURE !!! Morgan was also amazing and Jedidah the room manager was always there and ready to help any and all of us with our room needs .
The rooms are dated and they could use new towels and linens but it was clean and we were safe and our animals were with us - so I will not complain about the esthetic of the hotel..

Thank you to the staff and our stays has been now 6 days and counting - hopefully the fire will be contained and we will be able to go home soon, until then We really can’t thank the staff enough !!”

“The only issue I had was the dust in the AC. I turned in my comment card and the manager talked to the cleaning staff right then & there. She was very professional in all I saw. (With customers, motel staff, & on the phone.)”

“For the price and amenities this is a hard to beat deal in Redding. Location is close to the ampm and on the backside of Logan's Roadhouse so it makes dining convenient.”

“The front desk gal was super kind, very accommodating and helpful. I ended up not staying here, however, I needed to be closer to downtown. The hotel is going through a face lift, and they are working on a lot of the issues that people are complaining about here. That being said, I’d come back and see how they’re doing and say hi to my new friend.”
