Worst apartment ever. Had to call maintenance to fix numerous problems due to poor condition (gaps between door frame and wall, etc.). When I moved out, management invoiced me for the repairs, then sent me to collections for not paying! Totally illegal and outrageous. Worst apartment ever.

Every detail we needed was delivered with a smile. Elements is such a warm welcoming place. Brianna and her team treated my family consistently with white glove service from the moment we met, through the rental process through move in! The grounds are beautiful, nicely groomed. The views are breathtaking! Each morning, and evening we were met with sea lions chatting away with each-other and the calming bell sound from the marina makes for an incredible vacation get away feel. Great shops and restaurants within walking distance. A wonderful way to end the day is to get a nice workout in at the gym, then take a dip in the heated pool! We feel so fortunate! Thanks Brianna and Elements!!

We lived there in 2013 (or 2014) when they first opened after being newly remodeled. The building was really nice and the management was fantastic. We lived there for about a year before buying a home in Burbank. Fast forward 2016 (or 2017) and we sold our home to move back to this building. It was a nightmare. The garage was leaking water everywhere, trash all around the grounds, our apartment was not cleaned on the day of move-in and there was a terrible smell in the unit. We had them change the carpet due to a strong odor on the carpet and pet hair jammed in the corners. The smell remained... Then, when it rained the water ran through the walls and out of our window corners and into the unit. A repair guy came and caulked it (did not fix it). The next day (my husband was out of town) water came through the walls and flooded my unit while I slept. I woke up to all of my belongings damaged and water everywhere. No staff member was able to be reached (the management was horrible) and so I had to wait until after my job to go to their office to let them know what had happened. They wouldn't relocate me to another unit and laughed at me. Then when they saw what happened, they told me to call my insurance company. Again, no help... Their phones also were out of order so I couldn't call them after I met with them. So terrible... I had to live in a hotel for a week and communicate with them via email until they "allowed" us to break our lease. It was multiple emails and took 5 days. After we finally moved out they had the nerve to charge us a cleaning fee. The unit was flooded!!! How could we clean it??? We know for a fact that water traveled all through the walls and that building is now littered with mold behind the walls. I know management has changed but please think twice before renting here cause your health could depend on it.

If there was an ability to leave negative stars I would! Since moving in in December of 2021, the building is on its third owner. The latest do not upkeep the building period! They simply put a bandage on whatever the issue, as cheaply as possible, to get it fixed for a month at best. Since moving in the elevator has been down a total of 37 days! That over 5 weeks! When it's up, it's not fixed properly so they can't get it to pass a current inspection even! People have been stuck in it before! Great location & I guess they think tenants will just "suck it up" and not care.

Our experience so far at Elements 616 has been wonderful. The front office - Reighlyne and Brianna, have been very pleasant and accommodating. Looking forward to settling in nicely.

I moved here at 72 years of age born and raised in NYC and lived there until I moved here. I moved to be near my grandchildren. For me this was a big adjustment. I wanted to live near the shore and the place was PERFECT.The management did everything they could to make my move a positive experience. Especially GABE who was in charge of rentals then (he rented me the apartment) and now is the property manager. A well deserved promotion. The few thing that needed attention he took care of quickly just saying “No worries” with a big smile and it was done immediately with follow up to see I was happy.I have a minor back problem. Walmart delivered a case of water to the management office in error. GABE arranged to have it brought to my apartment. Management like this is MOST important to tenants and makes them want to stay when there lease expires.I recommend this building completely if you want to live in this area. They have there own rental office on premises. No broker needed. No rental fee. The property is immaculate.I plan to stay here permanently. If I was offered a lifetime lease I would sign it.

The positive things in this building is just Gabriel and cleaner ( a lady) both are so nice guys. But the new Management are not responsible.The wall of the my unit had mold and my belongings were damaged.The management refused all of my life and financial losses. The rate of charging for painting and cleaning is too much higher than all other buildings I had already experience.

I've lived at Elements for just under a year. It's a great community! Jaycee, Gabriel and Ralph go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and everyone feels at home. We had free yoga on the beach all summer and amazing events like wine tasting and summer bbq. It is a spectacular property just steps from the beach. The newly remodeled pool area and the communal fire pits/lounge areas are all just beautiful. Please keep in mind that management for Elements 616 changed in the spring of 2021. I'm noticing many of the negative reviews on here are from before then.

Best 'luxury' building in the Santa Monica area, with GREAT OCEAN SUNSET VIEWS above other building + 2 car spaces for our Apt. Across-the-street walking distance to the beach, PLUS Pet friendly.

I've lived here for three years (not all of them good), but our new staff is really turning things around! Jaycee, Gabe and Ralf are a great team. Their kindness and support for our furry friends deserves special recognition. Gabe helped reunite a lost dog and its worried owner over the weekend. What a great guy!

Before I viewed my current apartment, I viewed three other properties. Thus, I knew what I wanted. I told Gabriel (Leasing Agent) to show me his best available apartment and provide me the exact price. He showed me his best apartment and quoted me the exact price. His positive and genuine vibe made it easy for me to sign the lease the next day. Also, Gabriel and Jaycee (Property Manager) are super responsive. For example, my packages were not being delivered to my Parcel Pending lock box during my first week at the apartment. I spoke to Gabriel and he was able to speak to the delivery companies and fix the issue within a week. They also are proactive in organizing and PARTICIPATING (what agents do that?) in weekly tenant events, such as yoga and salsa dancing. Overall, I LOVE my new place and hope Jaycee and Gabriel continue to provide superb service.

I moved here cross-country for work, and initially, I did not have the best experience because of the management, however, Ralf from maintenance was super helpful, showed me around, and let me into the unit upon moving.Now, I am giving The Elements 5 stars because of Jaycee, Gabriel, Ralf, and the cleaning staff. They are impeccable! Jaycee and Gabriel have turned management around completely and now they host awesome events and have a genuinely caring attitude to what they do. Ralf always fulfills maintenance requests quickly and well. I always see the cleaning staff taking extra care to make sure everything is clean. Thank you!!

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. In the process of relocating cross country for work, I attempted to contact Elements 616 leasing agents over the course of an entire week no less than six times to get information and schedule a tour. Three emails went unanswered. Three voicemails were left as well with no response. I even stopped by the leasing office in person when I was in town to try to talk to someone face to face since I couldn't get anyone to respond otherwise - but I couldn't even get in the front gate because no one was in the leasing office to let me in. I guess they figure with their location, the apartments will rent themselves...As I was leaving, a resident was exiting and I asked her whether she had difficulty contacting management. She said she had been there only three months but yes - she has never been able to get a hold of them. Way I see it, if they don't care about you when you're a prospect they can make money from, they darn sure won't care about you after you've signed a lease. Guess I'll just move on to another apartment community that wants to take my money.
