“Really great experience at the Sherwin-Williams paint store on El Camino Real in San Mateo. I walked in with a messy problem, a bunch of custom HOA exterior colors that don't exist in any system, and needed help figuring out what to actually buy. The staff took the time to work through it with me, pulled up old formulas, and explained what each product was for. Super patient, friendly, and honestly just nice to deal with. Left feeling well taken care of and confident in what I'm ordering. If you're in San Mateo or Foster City and need exterior paint or stain, this is the store to go to. Five stars, highly recommend.”
“Kinda surprised to see negative reviews here. I've been to this store twice now (yesterday and today) and had incredibly friendly, polite, knowledgeable and helpful encounters with different staff both times. Perhaps staff has changed or been retrained? Not sure. Anyway, I'd definitely come back in the future.
UPDATE: I contacted the store on Monday to request a quote for a 25+ gallon project order. Based on some of the reviews here, I was concerned the pricing might be above average for the area so I also got a quote from another Benjamin Moore store in the area. The quotes were identical. Only this store said they could have my paints boxed and ready for pickup in 30 minutes. The other store said they'd be ready in 4 hours. I ordered from this store, and the paints were ready and waiting when I arrived. The staff/owner(?) dollied the paint tubs to my car and loaded them for me without being asked. Great service, competitive pricing and excellent paint. I'm a happy customer.”
