“San Gabriel Furniture is a nice independent business in San Gabriel. Catering to the local community, they offer a good selection of sofas, tables (dining and coffee), bookcases, lighting, end tables, mattresses, vanities and more. Quality is good... surprisingly good when in addition, the pricing here is often a bargain. This is not a fancy store by any means but if you are looking for good furniture at a very good price then this is an excellent place to shop. The service here is friendly and helpful.”
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This furniture shop has been open for decades. It's family owned and run. They are honest with great prices. Super helpful regarding giving their opinions and extremely knowledgable regarding furniture recommendations, sizing and placement. I've recommended several family and friends here and they've all had great experiences. They're also open on the weekends and late evenings. Genuine service that's very hard to come by. I'll keep coming back whenever I need furniture and mattresses.”
“Bought a mattress from here. They have a good range of firmness from soft to extra soft. Note that they dont do returns for mattresses, and the price to take away old mattress is approx $30. However, an odd incident did occur where the owner tried to give us a returned, unused mattress (even though they dont accept returns.....). Otherwise the prices were fair.”
“On Valley Blvd just west of Rosemead, there are 4-6 Chinese furniture stores. To me, it seems like they all order from a large wholesale warehouse. They all have small show rooms. Just tell them what you're looking for and what price, and they will flip through the catalogs with you to help you find something you like. Obviously not going to find high quality items at these stores, but if you're looking for something practical and affordable, these places are better than IKEA. They are also willing to deliver and set it up in your house for you. The downside: Parking there is limited (only 1 of the furniture stores has parking). This is bargain based shopping, so you have to negotiate. Sometimes if the negotiation goes the wrong way, one might get angry... luckily there's 4 more stores right next to each other!”
“I was looking online for a full size bed and mattress. But I wanted to find a store where I could feel and touch. I happen to drive pass Furniture Place on San Gabriel and I am so glad I stopped by and shopped. The prices matched the lowest prices online.Service is excellent. I had the bed and mattress delivered. Items were in stock so Delivery time quick and Delivery service was excellent. I'm very happy and satisfied with the bed frame and especialy the mattress. Definitely satisfied with the total pricing. I recommend this place.”
“My family always go to this shop when we need to buy a new bed mattress. This is my family's 4th mattress and we always love the quality there, and the price is under $500. It's a firm mattress with a pillow top, and it's very comfortable. The owner name Lisa is a very nice woman and she gives us a good time there. Also, she has a dog there, who's very well behaved and quiet. Recommend her place if you want a firm comfortable mattress and a very good quality bed frame. Along if you want it under $500”

Being from Florida, the only thing that caught us by surprise was having to pay for bags for our purchases. Paper bags, mind you! 😂 Definitely something we are not used to back home.
